The Marriage

Resting Area , Outside ICU:

"Think of your mom's condition before you make a decision. Please Abhi, consider this as my last wish. I don't want to send my wife to the operating theatre with regrets. I want her to have a smile on her face before the surgery. " , A request was made by Ram for his son to marry Ranvi

"It's not fair. I'm not ready to marry in this situation. If it's about mom, I promise you that she will not be harmed in any way. " Abhi said sternly, gazing into his father's eyes.

"Brother, you know what to do better than we do, so think wisely. My only advice to you is to think it through carefully." Maya patted her brother on the shoulder.

"The decision you made to head to the US for further studies was your own decision. Don't make me divulge all that I know and put you in a difficult position. If you are hell bent on your decision, then take it as an order to marry her," Ram snapped back at Abhi.

"Are you blackmailing me Dad?" , He asked after his breath.

"Fine, I'm ready, I'll get married" Abhi said, glancing at Ranvi intensely and turning away from the place.

However, Ranvi is going through an internal battle after hearing her Bava's words.

She does not have the option of backing out now as she has given her word to her Attayya.

Even more than that, Ranvi is much bothered by the way Abhi has reacted about his marriage.

He did not even pretend that he was ready to accept her into his marriage.

He simply said he is ready to get married and left.

Nonetheless, she enters his life again where she is unrequited.

15th Floor , Inside NH Campus:

"Yes, Mr.CEO. I will be there in 30 mins with registrar and all the necessary stuff." , Abhi's PA replied in response to Abhi's call.

Having worked under the most effective, powerful and cunning person in the world, he very well knows that the CEO is a man with few words.

The power of each word the CEO speaks is tremendous.

Everything he does must be perfect.

It is not common for the CEO to appear at business gatherings, so few people in the business world have met him.

Being the only person who has remained with the CEO for more than four years, he is well aware of how the CEO reacts to various situations.

Prior to his work under the CEO, he worked under the CEO's father, but he never once retaliated against the CEO.

It's very well known to him how rude, arrogant, and cunning the CEO is when it comes to closing tough business deals.

Despite going to any extent to get the deal in his pocket, he will make sure his employees put in their best efforts and will make sure they are well-cared for, and will also make sure they have a comfortable level of life.

Obviously, he knew very well how his CEO treated girls as insects and didn't allow any girls near him.

Although many girls did try to catch the attention of the CEO, he did know never once did the CEO acknowledge or pay attention to any of them.

He did remember the other day there was a billion -dollar deal to be signed, but a young lady, or rather the daughter of the business man, was appointed by her father to sign it.

It was usual for the CEO to sign the deal, but the woman was rather pleased with grabbing NH's deal, she even tried flirting with the CEO.

In response, the CEO simply tore the paper over her face and told him to make sure she maintains a distance of minimum kilometer to the campus of NH.

Several times, he thought his CEO might be gay before he noticed him smiling at an old photo of a 15-year-old beautiful girl dressed in traditional clothing.

It was noticeable that his CEO made sure the picture would be safe in his wallet.

A mental note was made that he would behave himself well when he met the girl.

Outside the ICU:

Having done all that his CEO told him to do, Shastri (Abhi's PA) was standing before the ICU with the registrar, the priest and the stuff required for marriage.

He initially did not understand why his CEO wanted a priest, since he could simply register the marriage directly without making it as traditional as it appears.

He thought first about the girl in the picture, and that hit him hard. He believed it must have something to do with the girl, so only his CEO wants to make the marriage happen the traditional way.

After knocking on ICU door , the door opened, the presence of a beautiful girl with long hair caught his attention and he had a sense that he had seen her somewhere.

The priest, the registrat, and Sharsti entered the ICU.

Shastri recognized Ranvi is the beautiful girl in the picture, but she looks more matured than she did in the picture. Her behavior, her manners, and her calm and composed demeanor impressed him and made him think the two of them(Abhi and Ranvi) were meant to be.

As the priest began the nuptial ceremony, Shastri gave everyone Akshatalu (rice grains mixed with turmeric for blessings). The priest gave Abhi the thali (the nuptial chain) and told him to tie three knots while he chanted the shloka.
"Mangalyam tantunanena mama jeevana hetuna: kanthe badhnami subhage twam jeeva sarada satam"

Others started giving blessings to the newly weds by hurling Akshitalu onto their heads. The priest had just decreed that the marriage ceremony is over.

Ram and Janaki blessed the newlyweds. Janaki embraced Ranvi and made her wear the gold bangles she held in her hands.

Shastri told the Registrar to start the process. The Registrar asked Abhi and Ranvi to sign the papers, which they both did.

Shastri nodded at Ram and his CEO before leaving with the Registrar and the Priest.

Ram and Janaki are in tears of joy, and Maya is delighted for both of them, and she hugs Ranvi and congratulates both of them on their wedding day.

Taking Abhi's hand, Janaki sighed and whispered, "Thanks Abhi for making my wish come true.".

"It is now your responsibility to take care of my daughter Ranvi. I know you will.But I still want you to."

Ranvi is truly happy to marry her Bava, although she is not sure how it will turn out for her as she is an unrequited presence in his life. However she decides to give her 100% to make this marriage work.

"Mom , I'll just come" with that being said Abhi left the room.

In the hospital's conference room on the tenth floor, doctors discuss the surgery that will be performed today. One physician asks why the lead surgeon's profile is not included in the file.

In an instant, a non familiar face popped out of the door before the director could answer.

"Here he is, Mr. Rathod. Good to meet you after a long time. How are you?" The director turned to the individual and greeted him.

"Are we ready?", Mr.Rathod enquired .

"You should have asked me how I'm doing" the director murmured.
