Chapter 4

We stand up and leave the apartment. We start to walk to the public and Daveed had his hand around my waist. Lin is standing farthest away from the street next to Daveed. Some guy come really fast with his bike and flys next to me so Daveed pulls me closer to him. Lin sees and texts the gc.

Lin: guys i'm stuck third wheeling me daveed and vaire will be a bit late

Philipa: i knew it 

Daveed pulls out his phone and sees the chats. He shows them to me and I take his phone. 

 I send it to the gc as I walk into the public. Vanessa the costume agent pulled me into the dressing room and started sizing me. While she's doing that Phillipa walks in. "VAIRE." she yells. "what." I say. I was kinda pissed off by her last night but it kinda faded away. "Lin said he caught you and Daveed making out." she said as she sits down crossing her legs. "We were not making out we just, kissed, for a while." Phillipa stands up. "Oh my god- i need to talk to Daveed." She  runs out. Daveed walks in about 5 minutes later. "did you see pippa?" I ask. He nods his head and sits down. I start laughing and Vanessa hits me. "what the hell?" Daveed stands up. "Stop moving." she says. Daveed is sitting in a chair reading and I'm standing uncomfortably still getting sized when Vanessa poked me with a needle. "ow what was that for?" I ask her. "I'm done." she says as she walks out. Daveed looks up from his book and I walk over to him. "What are you reading?" I ask him. "It's the book that Lin read that made him want to write the musical." he responds. After reading over his shoulder for a bit Lin walks in the room and hands us our scripts. I had to memorize Peggy's but she didn't have a lot, Maria just had one big song, but I also had to memorize Angelica's parts if Renee ever got sick or wasn't there. "We are going to do a reading in 5." Lin says in his megaphone. "I guess he got it fixed." Daveed says as we walk out of the room. On the stage there are seats for everybody and a bottle of water. I sit in the middle of Daveed and Christopher. I don't have to say Angelica's parts at the readings I just listen carefully to how Renee does it. When we finish act 1 it's about 12 so Lin asks if everyone wants go out for lunch. We all agree but me and Daveed make sure we don't go to the place that got him sick. We end up going to a diner a couple blocks away. We get a table and I sit next to Daveed and on my right is a empty seat until another person comes though the door. "Lin I'm sorry I missed rehearsals I was asleep." he says. "It's fine Oak just sit next to Vaire." He comes and  sits next to me. "Hi I'm Okieriete but everyone just calls me Oak." he says as he shakes my hand. "Hi I am- My name is Vaire." "Nice to meet you Vaire." he says as he kisses my hand. Looks like no one saw, except Daveed. He didn't talk to me for the whole lunch. So I talked to Oak. Turns out we have a lot in common. But that made Daveed even more mad. He did a fake cough then pulled on my hand. "Vaire got something on her shirt we are going to go clean it off." he says to the table as he pulls me to the bathroom. He pulls me into the family bathroom. "Daveed what are you doing?" I ask him. He kisses me on my cheek bone. I giggle in response then say, "You couldn't have waited until we got home?"  He moves down to my neck and I let out a sharp breath. He kisses along my collar bone then moves back up and puts his forehead on mine trying to catch his breath. I laugh and he smiles at me. "Vaire I really like you." "I can tell." He chuckles again then places a small peck on my lips. He does it again and when he goes in for the third time I pull him in to a much more aggressive kiss. He slightly pushes me into the wall to gain power again. He places his hand on my waist to gain stability and slowly grinds on me. I push him off. "I-I'm sorry I d- I didn't ask if y- if you were cool with it- I'm so sorry." I give him a hug to calm him down. "It's ok I was cool with it just not here ok, not in a random diner bathroom with all of our friends outside." He nods and I give him a peck on the cheek. He grabs my hand and we walk out. Lin puts his hand on his mouth and Renee does the same. Daveed looks at me then does the same but laughs in his hand. "Here- Baby let's just- *laugh* just sit down." We sit down and soon after I get a text from Thayne. 2 hickeys. One on my cheek bone and one on my neck. I show Daveed and he chuckles. "You are so annoying." I whisper in his ear. After we eat and just hang out for a bit it's 4:30. We go back to the public and read the second act. We finish everything at 7 and Lin says we can leave. Me and Daveed walk out and start to walk to his apartment. I stop in my tracks and ask him, "Actually do you want to go to my house, you can meet my mom and my dog." "Let's go."
