Shang-Chi was exhausted, worried and scared when he entered the gold dagger's club "Okay, let's get you ready to fight?" Shang-chi and Katy snapped their head towards Jon-Jon.
"Wait what?"
"We're a multi-platform global operation. Every fight live streamed on the dark web. Thousands of viewers placing bets as we speak. This is gonna take your brand to a whole new level." the man explained, Shang-chi just kept shaking his head.
"I think there's been some sort of confusion, I'm not here to fight anybody okay? I'm here for my sister Xu Xialing." And that's how he found himself in the main ring...fighting his own sister. What he did not see while he was getting his ass handed to him was Sasha Clay making her way through the crowd stopping before Katy Chen.
"Hey, you're with him?!" Katy turned to look at the girl who's sepia skin was illuminated by a variety of lights.
"Yeah he's my best friend!" Sasha smiled at the girl "have I seen you somewhere?! I feel like I've seen you somewhere!"
"That's funny cause that's!-" she pointed at Xialing "my best friend!" she yelled over the music and the sound of Shang chi's failure.
"OH!" Both Katy and Sasha grimaced when Xialing hit Shang-chi where the sun didn't shine, with the final kick Shang chi lost, Sasha immediately turned around when she knew Shang chi was gonna look down at them. "They're gonna be in the office, follow me." Sasha handed Katy the money she won "Smart, you bet against him." she commented as they entered the office, the two women were laughing at a joke Katy said when they entered the office.
"Where'd you get all the money?" Shang chi asked when he noticed the money in Katy's hand "did you bet against me..." his voice died in his throat when he noticed the woman next to his best friend "Sasha..." he breathed out noticing her smile drop, a hardened look on her face as she moved towards Xialing, not sparing a look towards him but he couldn't help let his eyes flicker over to her every few seconds. She'd come a long way from being afraid of being in a room with barely two people to running an underground fight club.
"I own it, she runs it." Xialing corrected her previous statement.
"Hi, Xialing. I'm Katy. You're, like, such a badass. Everything that you do is, like, so cool. That was really cool." Xialing and Sasha looked at each other and smiled.
"I like your pants."
"Thank you, Thanks. Yeah."
"What do you want?" Shang-chi froze, everything we wanted to warn Xialing about went down the drain, he had never heard her so emotionless, and it was all his fault.
