It was a sunny day. I was on my way home from the Dojo, where I finished teaching the new white belts. I'm a black belt and work as an instructor at the dojo. I was at a red light when I got a call from my mom.

Mio: Hey mom.

Mom: Hello sweetie, are you on your way home?

Mio: Yeah, I should be home in a couple minutes, what's up?

Mom: Could you stop by the supermarket on your way home? I ran out of some ingredients for tonight's dinner.

Mio: Oh sure thing, what do you need?

She tells me what ingredients to get as I listed it down on my arm.

Mom: That should be everything..

Mio: Alright mom, I'll see you in a bit.

Mom: Ok sweetie, thank you.

Mio: It's no problem mom, love ya.

Mom: Love you too.

I hung up and headed to the supermarket to buy the ingredients mom needed. After buying everything mom asked for I headed back home but stopped when I noticed a small bookstore at the end of the block.

Mio: Hmmm... Maybe I should get a new book, I've practically reread all the ones I have.

I headed towards the bookstore, the exterior looked like it's been around for years, I opened the door and the bell jingled, just like the outside the inside looked old as well and there were numbers of books on the shelves and on the few tables.

Mio: For a small bookstore I didn't expect there to be this many books.

I walked around browsing through the books thinking on which one to get. I then heard an old voice snap me out of my thoughts.

Store Owner: Hello there dearie, is there anything I can help you with?

I turned around and saw a kind old lady.

Mio: Oh hello ma'am, I was just looking through the books.

Store Owner: Oh, did you see one that you like?

Mio: Not yet..

I trailed off looking past her, noticing a rather thick book on the shelf behind her.

Mio: Actually, can I see that one?

I pointed to the book behind her and she looked over.

Store Owner: Ahh this one, good choice.

She pulled out the book and handed it to me and I read the title.

Mio: "The Legend of the Four Cardinal Heroes and Myth of the Gauntlet Hero", that definitely sounds interesting. How much for this one ma'am?

Store Owner: Hmm, that book has been here for sometime now, tell you what, I'll give it to you for free.

She said kindly.

Mio: Really!? Wait, what's the catch?

I said skeptically.

She gave a kind smile as she said.

Store Owner: You have to buy an extra book.

Mio: Of course... Alright, do you have any stories for kids?

Store Owner: I do have this book of fairy tales.

She went to a shelf and pulled out a book and showed me the title.

Mio: "The Grimm's Fairy Tales"? Isn't that book too dark for kids?

Store Owner: I suppose you are right, then how about this one?
