AUTHOR'S NOTE

3 1 2

So I actually wanted to thank you guys for reading the book. It has really encouraged me to keep writing and I hope you guys would like it more as it goes on.

Now for the purpose of this author's note. As much as people haven't really commented about it, I want to explain Alaina's person. Alaina is a biracial child her mother being a Togolese woman and her father being Canadian. Alaina's father may not be mentioned in the story. As you may have observed in the book, Alaina only speaks French in the house as that was how she was trained. Wura, Alaina's mother had brought her {Alaina} up speaking her mother tongue believing it could help her in different ways.

Alaina as you know has been diagnosed with SARS but has no record or history of respiratory disorders. The reason and the cause of this sickness is unknown to her especially as it is in its chronic stage. She is what a person would tag as ASYMPTOMATIC {someone who doesn't or is unable to show symptoms of anything especially a disease}. She is best friends with Sara, Troy, and Maxwell but their friendship may be strained in her attempt to push them away due to her illness.

Anything more might spoil the book so I think I would stop explaining her person here.

As for the French phrases, I try to be as accurate as possible; as I am not French and if there is any error, please let me know.

I am also open to ideas, corrections and encouragements in any way possible. This would help me become a better writer and would build and improve my writing skills for any other book I may write in the future.

Like I said in the beginning, thank yo so much for reading my book it means a lot to me and I will by the grace of God, publish chapter 4 tomorrow.

See you then.
