twenty two year old jaehyun. settled in his own apartment on the outskirts of seoul. it had been seven years since he'd made any kind of contact with taeyong.
after that night, he'd lost all contact with his best friend. it was hard, he'd admit. but if you mentioned the boy's name around him now, he'd crack jokes and name call. he knew it was shitty, but so was taeyong. which was what he'd tell himself to hide the fact he thought about the boy way too much, considering how long ago it was.
he lived alone, with company from his goldfish that he'd purchased out of boredom, supporting himself financially with his job at a hair salon. he hadn't had any romantic partners in years, but he was okay with it. he had a stable group of friends, which was enough for him.
"jae?"
"mm?" jaehyun mumbled from under his slightly hair dye-stained sheets, "what'dya want?"
"you need to get up~" the boy whined, tugging on his hungover friend's blanket with a smile, "you cant stay here all day, c'mon. we'll order food."
"leave me alone~" jaehyun whined with a fond laugh as yuta sat down next to him on the bed, "how bad was i last night?"
"man, i haven't seen you that drunk for years..." yuta smiled, "i think the last time was your eighteenth.. and even that wasn't properly drunk."
jaehyun sighed, sitting up and keeping himself stable with his hands on his headboard. he only drunk because he was bored, and he regretted it so much.
"you didnt have work today, right?" yuta asked, tilting his head at the man who was in what seemed like physical pain.
shaking his head thankfully, jaehyun chuckled warmly, "thank fuck for that-"
