sat on the bench on the train platform, taeyong watched as jaehyun's knee bounced up and down, which he could only assume was along to the beat of the music he was listening to.
he could tell jaehyun didnt get as much sleep as he usually did, or even got too much sleep, as he hadn't said much, and his eyes were hooded and dark.
again, it wasn't awkward though. listening to music in their own headphones, and occasional eye contact, and taps on the shoulder for attention is all they needed, this cold, dreary morning.
"want the rest?" jaehyun asked, passing taeyong a paper bag with a pastry he'd bought earlier that morning.
"mm? what is it?"
"chocolate- bread- thing- i dunno," jaehyun laughed tiredly, "it's good."
"a pain au chocolat?" taeyong asked with a laugh, taking the bag, "yeah, i'll have it. why dont you want it?"
"sorry i dont speak french," jaehyun scoffed, then shrugged, "m' not hungry."
jaehyun watched the boy fondly as he finished the pastry. he was finding taeyong so strangely comforting recently, and he didnt really know why. seeing taeyong eat, drink, smile, work hard, but also relax, gave him a strange sense of serotonin.
he was terrified of falling for him again.
but he was beginning to feel the way he used to.
