AURORA PLOPPED HER LUNCH ON THE TABLE.

She had two periods in the morning, and two periods in the afternoon. Aurora didn't like the school schedule that much. Camp Half-Blood's was much more flexible. She could wake up at ten, practice swordfighting, go to Mythology classes, do whatever she wants, as long as she gets the classes done... or not. It wasn't a big deal over there.

After science, she had geography. Neither Sana nor Nea were in the class with her. Drew and Jacki were, and Aurora had the pleasure of being in the same table group as them (sarcasm intended).

She picked up her chicken sandwich, and took a bite of it. Surprisingly, the food at Yancy wasn't bad. But Aurora had eaten Riley's food before, so she guessed that her stomach probably just built up a tolerance.

"Hey, hey," Sana said, sliding into the seat across from Aurora.

"Hi!" Aurora greeted her.

Nea slid in next to Sana, and greeted her two friends.

The three of them ate their food gossiping about some of the things that had happened over the break, and first day of school. Even though Aurora hadn't even known these two girls existed two days ago, she was glad that she managed to fit in with them.

Sana had spent the holidays with her family in New York. They don't celebrate Christmas, but they went to Rockefeller Center to skate, and apparently her younger brother had sprayed some kid in glitter. He was going to make it a tradition.

Nea's family now lived in Brooklyn, and she and them had a small Christmas party. Her brother almost toppled the tree over, but Nea's mom managed to save it in time.

Aurora told them how she spent her break with her siblings, and tried to hide the fact that it was at a Camp for children of Greek Gods. She'd say she did pretty good.

"Oh, and Jimmy was flirting with Aurora today," Sana said, as she recounted some of the 'first day back to school' gossip.

"What's new?" Nea muttered sarcastically.

"What?" Aurora protested. "No he wasn't. We were just talking about Finding Nemo, and our breaks."

It was true. Jimmy Cuhan (Aurora knew he was the rich kid of the school) sat next to Aurora in science. The two of them spoke about the movie and their break. Sure, Jimmy put a little more effort into the conversation than Aurora did, but it was because she couldn't tell him she never met him before.

"You love Finding Nemo," Nea accused.

"So?" Aurora shrugged. "I might look like a bitch, but I'm not that rude. If he's gonna start a conversation, I'm not just gonna shut him out."
