Everything is black and white until you meet your soulmate.

Additionally: when your soulmate dies everything goes back to black and white.

You're having a normal day, a long day but normal none the less. You've been out running errands since this morning at all these different stores. Now you're finally at the last one. Almost finished too. As you stand at the checkout, digging through your wallet looking for that one specific credit card, your vision suddenly blurs. You put your wallet down and rub your eyes. Opening them you find a lack of color. Everything is in black and white... again.
