a long stressful day passed as chan wanted to go home but he remembered the principal was gonna announce who had won the 4 tickets. seungmin left school early because he wasn't feeling well after his cooking class today which led chan to be alone. he crossed his arms as he was looking around to search for chaeri.
when he found her they made eye contact, turns out chaeri was already looking at him and when he looked back she faced the other way. feeling flustered that she was caught staring. chan couldn't help but smile, he found it adorable how she immediately looked away when he made eye contact.
"alright kids, i could talk here for so long and everything but i'll just get straight to the point. the winners are" the principal said making a few people laugh. opening the envelope he turned it around so people could see what was written on it before saying in the microphone "chan and chaeri! good luck on winning and have an amazing trip"
chan widened his eyes, he won?? together with chaeri? how did that even happen who even voted for him? chan looked at chaeri and saw she was shocked too. her friends teased her and grabbed her arms to shake it. some people came to chan and congratulated him for winning, others were jealous because they wanted to win and thought he was lucky to go with chaeri, a pretty sweetheart.
chan nodded his head whenever people walked past him as a thank you and when no one was left, he wanted to turn around and walk away just to feel a light tapping on his shoulder. turning around chaeri stood in front of him, he couldn't help but feel nervous.
"hey" chaeri said with a smile that did things to chan's heart. "congratulations on winning! i uhh, was thinking about which countries we should go" she told chan with excitement in her voice, chan started to walk but signaled chaeri to walk with him which she did. "i have a few on my minds but i thought we should talk about this. where do you wanna go?"
chan wanted to say something but he remembered when he overheard chaeri and her friends talking, tokyo and malaysia.
chan looked at her with a smile, a genuine one and chaeri felt happy because this was actually the first time he had seen him smile to him. she found it so cute when his dimples were showing, she wanted to boop his nose.
"i'm sorry" chan suddenly said which left chaeri dumbfounded. why was he apologising? as if chan could read her mind he quickly said "for hurting you yesterday, i bumped quite hard to your shoulder. i'm sorry, and i'm sorry for just apologising just now for it". chaeri felt like laughing but she held herself in, he was quite adorable and she liked him.
"oh and for your questioning, let's go to tokyo and then to malaysia".
