3RD PERSON POV

It was Arabella and Alexander's second year of being together and they were going stronger than ever. This new years they both had something special planned for each other to announce. In the past year they have decided to spend their new years at the office with a big party. However they realized that a lot of people prefer to spend the holidays with their families or significant others. So this year they decided that a week before Christmas the establishment would be closed to give adequate time for people to go to their families for the holiday. And it will be reopened 2 weeks after the New Year. They had already spent Christmas at Arabella's house and came back two days after. Arabella's mom, Diana and Ivy, Diana's girlfriend absolutely adored Alexander and he loved to see his girlfriend's happiness when baking with Ivy.

Of course he got the usual talk about "if you hurt my little girl I don't care how rich you are I will find you and I will make sure you suffer." He was used to it as he got the same talk from her father when they met and he was introduced as her boyfriend. Yet somehow it was much more mild. And now it was the 30th of December. While Alexander was out "doing security checks for the building," Arabella was sitting on the bed in their now shared bedroom wondering how best to break the news.

She was pregnant. They were gonna have a baby. I mean they said that they were gonna start trying after the new year, but after she found out she was wondering how he would react. She knew that he would never react in a bad way but that doesn't change the slight doubt in her stomach.

Little did she know she was in for a surprise of her own.

He was going to propose. After a whole year of ups and downs he was finally ready to propose to the love of his life. He noticed on a random day when shockingly, nothing eventful happened. He just, knew. He had started planning over two months ago and just recently he had gotten the ring. Since he didn't want to arouse suspicion, he thought the wisest idea would be to check her ring size while asleep. The problem is that if she doesn't feel her love in the bed with her she frantically moves until she feels something relatively close to him. It took a week of failed attempts until he finally got it. The ring was simple yet elegant because he knew that his girlfriend never liked anything too flashy. He was nervous but excited. He knew she would have a reaction, I mean who wouldn't when you're getting proposed to and he knew that she would never intentionally be rude to her however he just couldn't shake the nerves. He just hoped that she would say yes.
