my eyes widened

"i-i thought you....you were"

i stuttered barely getting that out, holding back sobs

kaede shed a tear, whom was rolling down through her cheek while she wrote something on a whiteboard

"i thought so as well, but turns out everything was....a lie, a virtual reality"

kaede seemed to struggle with writing the word 'lie'

i really couldnt believe my eyes... all we suffered and fought for, all the trials, all the trauma...it was all a lie.

i clenched my fist but then i  realized, does this mean the others are alive..?

"h-hey kaede what happened w-with... the others" i stuttered

she rapidly scribbled something in her whiteboard that said

"almost everyone is alright, some are coping differently with the trauma than others and kiibo-kun turned out to be a human.

everyone has woken up... well everyone except for ouma ..."

"o-oh" i stuttered in response

i figured it actually made sense, since ouma had the worst death compared to everyone. i mean even if tsumugi and kiibo kun had really bad deaths, at least they died in a fast way where they didn't suffer that much, but ouma kun got shot 2 times, one including a lethal and painful poison that kills slowly and with all the pain he even got crushed also slowly by a hydraulic press . and i cant even imagine how it would feel to get all your bones crushed...in a very slow and painful way not being able to breath nor scream...

he may have caused trouble, and been a bit annoying but i really feel bad for him, to make a whole plan about sacrificing himself just for us is just-

a tap on my shoulder brought me back to reality

kaede seemed to be talking or well writing to me and i was dozing off

"i-im so sorry akamatsu-san i was dozing off for a bit there" i chuckled nervously

than she scribbled on the board "well i was asking if you wanted to get some ice cream, they sell some really good flavors over the cafeteria"

"o-oh well -sure...b-but shouldnt we inform a doctor that i am awake or something?" i asked  her and she wrote 

"oh hehe i forgot about that"

heh i sweat nervously while we walked out of the room and talked to a doctor

time skip

i was finally let out after some studies and i decided to hang out with kaede

"hey shuichi what about i show you around the hospital"

kaede wrote in her white board

"sure"

we walked over the halls where every hospital room was

i saw a few names on top of the doors that i couldn't recognize but shrugged it off

when we reached the end of the hall we finally reached the cafeteria and there i saw everyone kaito, tenko, angie, korekiyo, gonta, miu, rantaro, kirumi, maki, kiibo, himiko and ryoma

everyone looked at me with wide eyes then kaito was the first one to stand up and....he hugged me he looked at me with his heroic smile and said "hello sidekick, you've finally woken up heh its been decades heh" sooner everyone joined into the hug even maki and tenko but angie and korekiyo seemed to hesitate a little, but i payed no attention to that.                          

we talked about a few things and i analyzed a bit of my classmate's behaviour, then i noticed something about kaito and maki, i always knew they got along pretty well

but something was off and something was awfully wrong with angie, ever since i got here shes only spoken 3 or 4 times and shes never mentioned atua once, also stuttering more often. that was worrying me a bit

same with himiko, she really seemed off, she usually pays no mind to tenko's simping nor flirting however now she gets extremely flattered and turns bright red. it was a bit obvious that they were eventually like each other mutually but what was getting me off guard was the fact that every time angie spoke she cut her off or glared at her and that was causing angie to stutter often

and same thing with tenko with the angie treatment but not only glaring or cutting off, she would tell her to shut up or even threaten her at times... poor angie i know what she did was wrong but she does NOT deserve this treatment, she really looks dead in the eyes and i noticed kaede has been noticing this behaviour as well we literally just looked at each others eyes and knew what to do

"eerm e-excuse me i-if it isnt a problem, kaede and i would like to speak with tenko and himiko...privately ringt kaede?"

kaede nodded

"nyeehh what a pain..." said himiko

"hmph whatever i hope its not something bad, d-" tenko cut herself off "i-i mean sure whatever" strange i think shes trying to be nicer. i smiled at the thought

we reached the back yard

i was a bit nervous and kaede noticed so she started writing in her board

"so we wanted to talk about what happened between you two and angie.."

they both looked disgusted when she mentioned angie and tenko said "please don't mention that degenerate b(female dog) that manipulated my beautiful gorgeous and precious angel himiko"

we both looked stunned at her words and then we looked at himiko and she just said "nyeeh why are you so surprised what tenko said was just the truth.." she yawned

even himiko?! what is happening,, this is VERY weird coming from himiko she usually is sweet to people, what is happening to her?

 i thought tenko loved all women???

i sighed i didnt know what to believe anymore, "lets go kaede " i said while kaede followed me

she wrote on her whiteboard "they are acting quite stange"

"i know"

time skip

kaede and i were making hand made jewelry, she made a pink one, it had a bunch of glitter and some pink accessories  and some hearts

mine was a bit plain it was blue and had some accessories like black squares and things like that

i suddenly felt really sleepy and let out a yawn "are you sleepy, shuichi?" kaede wrote down her board i slowly nodded as everything went blurry and i laid my head on kaede's shoulder
