Koi POV

We were at this pool party and I was bored as fuck.

Don't get me wrong the party was lit. I was just down. My mom was perfect like usual which caused the older guys to be kinda aggressive and my dad to be over protective. Miah was on the phone with some boy which was new. I thought she was in love with key.

I needed a blunt so bad I walked all the way to the car. I tried to open the door but the shit was locked. I took my weed out my backpack and started rolling up on the trunk. I smoked and thought about everything.

" party must not be all that huh?" This girl said as she walked up to me smoking a blunt too.

" it's coo I just got other shit on my mind."I said hitting my blunt.

" same , I'm Kendal. Don't think I've ever seen you here before ?" She passed me her blunt and I naturally passed her mine.

" koi and I haven't been here before. My mom was invited and as part of my punishment my dad made me come." She laughed a little.

" so coming to a pool party is punishment, wow I'm scared" she said which made me laugh a little.

" chill,  I got other shit I need to do" I said with a slight smile.

" why you here? Did someone make you come too" I joked

" you can say that but id rather be somewhere else's with less people and more weed. Probably watching a movie at the drive in or something. Be regular for once." I felt what she said. I just needed a break for my mind.

" sound nice, I need the same thing but with better food." We laughed.

" if I had my car I would of been left." I said shaking my head.

" I think I can fix that" she said then grabbed my arm and started walking up the driveway. The unlocked this green skat pack.

" you drive this?" I asked shocked.

" umm yea, green is my favorite color" she said as we got in. She drove off and headed to a food spot. As we rode she played all my favorite shit and I don't have to ask her to play it.
She pulled up to a little barbecue spot that looked a little  off.

" come on" she said as we got out the car.

" hey sunshine" a heavy set guy behind the bar said to Kendal.

" hey Marv can I get two macs, ribs and  two frozen blue raspberry lemonades to go" she said and he went to the back to get it.

" so you a big timer huh?" I said looking at her.

" I come here all the time. Me and marv just became coo I guess." I nodded as I looked around. My phone went off and I knew it was my family.

" hello" I answered.

" boy where you at?" My momma said threw the phone. I was glad it was her and not dad because he would have told me to come back.

" i met a new friend, she pretty coo ma, we eating now. Ma I'm good" I said glancing back at Kendal.

" she cute? What's her name?" Her she go , I thought.

" Kendal, by mama" I said then hung up the phone.

" ready" Kendal said with the food in her hands.

We headed to the car and she drove to starlight drive  in.

" you pretty coo" I said as the stress was slowly going away.

" thanks, you ain't too bad" she said smirking at me.
