Chapter 7: The trip part 3
Lin’s POV:
“Lin … I think….”
Ba-Dump, Ba-Dump, Ba-dump. I felt my heart beat fast against my ribcage.
“……” he seemed to be hesitating to say something, then his face changed as if he decided to discard that previous thought.
“… Grandmother might be awake now. She’ll be wondering where we went. I think we should go back now.” He said.
“huh.. o-oh, oh yeah alright sure” I replied with a stutter.
Silence engulfed us as we walked back. While walking I wanted to say something to end this uncomfortable silence between us, though it seems I’m the only one being burdened by it. He seems lost in thought. I looked at the grass covered with morning dewdrops.
I saw something sparkling in between, it had neon colors decorating it. Slowly crouching down to confirm my assumptions, and saw that it was a centipede. I stayed there looking at it and observing its movements. I slowly moved my hand towards it and tried to touch it, but then a familiar slender, soft hand with long fingers stopped my hand. Yeah you guessed it correctly. It was Baekhyun.
“You idiot! Centipedes are poisonous, especially colored ones. We are in the wild here. What would you have done if it bit you! Aren’t girls afraid of such things” he said in skepticism.
“Just so you know I am certainly not like those girls everywhere. I thought it looked pretty, and then it moved it head, almost asking me to pet it.” I replied without thinking.
“It’s not a pet!” he exclaimed.
“Oh come on! You shouldn’t be judicious with things especially animals. I mean, what on earth did they do to you!” I replied defensively and rhetorically.
“Alright, alright, but didn’t you know its poisonous. What if you died because of its poison! Your fans would have killed me!” he responded.
“Oho! Is the famous main vocalist actually worried about me. I’m honored. Besides you have more fans than me, some would be happy for me finally leaving their ‘oppa’.” I teased him in reply, with a smirk at the end.
He didn’t respond after that, just took my hand and dragged me with him. Probably in a hurry or worried about his grandmother. I then blushed as my mind processed that he was holding my hand. I quickly turned my face to the opposing side waiting impatiently for the blush to disappear.
Baek’s POV: {it’s going to start a bit earlier}
“Lin ,,, I think…”
No wait, I shouldn’t do this the company, the fans, my bandmates, the president if I do this I will make them all struggle. I should hold it in, but what if she gets another person! I sighed internally, finally deciding against it.
I told her that we should go back to grandma. The thought couldn’t leave my mind as I continued to think of all possible scenarios and reactions of either decision. I then snapped out of it and looked beside me to find mother nature only.
Geez! Where did she run of to now? Did I say something wrong? Oh wait she probably got stuck somewhere, dozing off or doing something stupid.
I retraced out steps back to see her about to touch a multi-colored centipede. Oh at least she didn’t faint or isn’t doing something dangerous. Wai- wait dangerous? No that centipede is poisonous isn’t it? ….. Luckily I was able to stop her from touching it.
*after convo* [I won’t type it again]
I took her hand and headed home. She shouldn’t be able to leave or get lost or distracted by something like this.
Lin’s POV:
*time skip*
The production crew settles in and then we start filming. The staff told me to keep what I was wearing as it looked comfortable and suitable and that I’ll change later before we leave.
*Clap* que [whatever they say to start filming!]
They hand us the mission card. Baek starts reading it aloud.
“Good morning! Today we will be testing your courage, intelligence, and if either of you are willing to take risks for one another.” He read diligently.
“eh?”I questioned while tilting my head towards the PD.
“Get ready you will be leaving soon, tomorrow will be your last day here and this place is famous for its XXXXXX. You have to figure out what ‘XXXXXX’ is. If you are able to solve it than you won’t have to face the punishment, and you might have an advantage in the later episodes.” Said PD.
After that the crew started packing, but until they finish the VJ will stay filming us here.
“Didn’t you live here most of your life? What do you think?” I asked Baek.
“Eh I’m not sure the place has changed since the last time I came here. I’m absolutely clueless” he replied.
I then sat down and tried thinking.
“Why did you sit down?” Baek asked.
“I want to think. I think well when I sit comfortably” I explained.
After a while I uttered “If they gave us a riddle we would have solved it faster or even a math question.” I complained.
I then changed into some dark black jeans, a dark grey turtle neck, a green hoodie (closed, no zipper), with a pair of ankle boots with thin laces and no heel (thank god) the stylists then wrapped my wavy hair in a half pony tail with half of my hair flowing down my shoulders. {You can imagine what Baekhyun will be wearing}
Currently in the car thinking about the question.
“Hey Baek, don’t they usually do the bungee jump in variety shows” I told him.
“Eh I doubt that they would make us do it” He replied.
A/N: Sorry for not updating in a long time. I mean who wouldn’t be busy fangirling and spazzing over our dear EXO’s epic comeback. I hope Tao and Lay get better. We don’t need injuries. I am upsessed with their song ‘El Dorado’ and their title song. I have been watching their performances. Sorry{again} I didn’t intend or mean to make this arc this long it was supposed to be 2 chapters, but … yeah if I added the rest here then it would seem to hurried up and would be messy so I think the next chapter will be the last for the trip, then the exo members might be there. ^^ and A HUGE THANKS FOR THE 2.2K thank you a lot nvn
