hello hello. ik the book says on hiatus, but I've been on a writing spree with my other book. if you're into the lead singer of Ice Nine Kills, I have a Spencer one shot book!
I decided to continue the vampire series. so here's one with rhys! I may do a part 2 to the pierce or asch one, but I have no idea. I have another idea for my spencer book so I may go back to writing in that one..
IN THIS STORY: you're on daemos! you happen to be in a cell protected by magic, though. one of the only vampires left on daemos. you were taken in by Asch for Rhys to do experiments with you. you and Rhys have no sort of relationship, just a scientist and his so-called Frankenstine.
enjoy!
edit: just saw that the book was marked completed. tf

I groaned as I sat in the back of my cell. I could hear words coming from the advisor of the Prince, but none of it made sense. I haven't fed in weeks. Weeks. I barely kept track of time here. I didn't need sleep, so I didn't sleep. The only way I could tell it was night was when the guards switched spots.
This time, Rhys was joined by the General. I had tried to kill the guards one too many times, so they upped the magic and chained me to a wall. Normally I'd be able to get out of these, but they injured me and I was too weak to heal or even break out of them.
My vision was blurry and my body was heavy. I just saw the blue magic where the bars of the cell were and everything was starting to spin. I couldn't help but to lay down. My stomach was killing me. I had tried biting myself to get any sort of blood, but mine just tasted horrible.
I felt a shock run through my body and I was now up and focused. It knocked the breath out of me, but I looked at the two Daemos in front of me. "We asked you a question, Y/n," Rhys told me. I leaned my head against the wall.
"Rhys," I coughed, "I can barely concentrate. I'm hungry and weak. The longer I go without blood, the higher chances of me dying." I closed my eyes but heard the bars open. I felt metal under my shin as I opened my eyes again. Pierce's blue sword was tilting my chin up.
"Kill me," I said with a smile. "I'd rather die than be hungry.." Pierce looked confused and withdrew his sword. My head fell back into its original position.
"Y/n," Rhys spoke again. "Shocking you seemed to work. Do we need to do it again?" His words trailed off in my head and I couldn't respond. I just heard mumbling again, before another shock. I jolted up and looked at him, laughing.
"You can only shock me so many times before I get used to it."
"What's going on?" I heard another voice. There walked in the Prince. I looked over at him but my eyes started to close again.
"She isn't cooperating," Rhys spoke.
"I'm so hungry, Asch. I can't even think.." I spoke. He walked into my cell and I opened my eyes again. He put his hand on my chin, grabbing it harshly.
"She seems defenseless. We need to feed her."
"But my Prince, we don't have any more blood.." Rhys spoke. I looked at him with wide eyes and back at the Prince.
"Please.." I begged in a whisper. "I'll let you do whatever if you just feed me.." He stood up and looked to the other two Daemos.
"Pierce, lets go. Rhys will feed you," Asch walked out before Rhys could say anything. Pierce followed. I looked at Rhys.
"You can shock me, bruise and hurt me, Rhys. I'm struggling. The more you hurt me the more I can't help." I wasn't kidding. At this point I was willing to do anything. It was just Rhys and I in here now.
He stepped through the door and bent down next to me. "Take my hands out. It won't hurt you. Please.." I begged once again. He looked towards the stairs and sighed, using magic to take my hands out of the cuffs that tied me to the chains. I held my wrists and rubbed them.
"What do I do?" he questioned with a hint of fear in his tone.
"Just.." my vision went blurry from hunger. "Sit against the wall.." He listened to me and I slowly sat on my knees. I lifted my hand to his cheek and felt a connection between us right away. I don't know if he felt it too, but I gently tilted his head. "It won't hurt, I can numb you. Just relax and it'll just be a pinch, okay?"
"A- Alright.." he stuttered. I never thought he's actually be scared of me. I moved part of his hair and leaned into his neck. I licked around to find the right spot to sink my teeth in. Once I found it, I bit into him slowly. I numbed his skin right away and started to suck in his blood.
It wasn't like any human I had sucked on before, any humans they gave me. It was bittersweet. I felt myself get stronger slowly. Power rushed through my body, but I didn't dare do anything that could hurt me. I held his head gently and kept my eyes closed. I sucked slowly, making sure I was only taking enough I needed.
Once my stomach was full, I pulled away slightly and ran my tongue over the bite. I watched the skin close up tightly and I couldn't help but lean my head into the crook of his neck. My hand holding his head fell to his chest and I closed my eyes. He didn't seem to move, so I just stayed there, sinking back onto my feet. Even though I was full, I was still tired.
I felt his hands shakily go to my waist. "A- Are you b- better?" he asked in a whisper. I slowly nodded as he laid me against the wall. I felt him get up and I could tell he was standing over me.
"Thank you.." I said before curling into a ball and resting my eyes. I wasn't going to fall asleep, but I just needed rest. Eating a full meal after I had just almost died from hunger wasn't good for me. Usually I'd eat slowly, but I almost couldn't stop myself.
I heard his footsteps walk away but I didn't hear the cell door shut. After I laid for at least a half an hour, I sat up and stretched. I saw him sitting in front of the cell writing in a book. He looked up and his eyes met mine, his widening. "Your eyes are purple?"
I looked at him and nodded, "My eyes turned red when I drank human blood. Since yours is purple, it seems to be the matching color." I walked towards the door and he held his hand out. "I'm not doing anything, I just want to see what you wrote.."
I walked behind him and read the Daemos language. I had gotten used to it because they once brought me books before I tore them up. I nodded and walked back into the cell. "You can cuff me again. I told you I wouldn't do anything after I was fed, so I won't try breaking from my chains."
"No, I'm sure you're not lying. I'll keep your door open as long as it's just me," he spoke with a small smile. I sat down against the cold floor and wrapped my arms around myself, watching him continue to write.
