I breath heavily as I hear my mom and dads screaming voices. I wanted this to end. So badly I wanted to leave this place. "April!" I heard my mothers harsh scream. My leg slip from my bed as I walk outiside my door feeling our soft tan carpet and I look down the stairs seeing my mothers angry harsh face. Not this again, I thought. "April,me and your mother are divorcing. Finally," Dad said softly. Mother looked at Dad,"What do you mean finally?" Mom said harshly. "Well I know you've wanted this for months," Dad said. I start to creep into my room when my mom scolded me,"April Scarlet Jenson! Get down here this instant!" I sighed. My skin pressed the soft tan carpet stairs. Dad looked at mom,"Let her go," as he puts his arm infront of mom. "Get that damn arm out my face!" Mom yelled. Dad stared at her. Oh crap. "No cussing in this house. You know the rules." Dad started ro go up the stairs as he reached my height he put his hand on my shoulder then sighed,"Get your stuff,I'll get Raven." Dad said as he brushed passed me.
I stuffed the last shirt in my suit case. Did mom and dad have to fight? Ever since mom got fierd from her job she'd been acting crappy,it came out of no where one day. Raven distracted me from my thoughts,"Sissy will we be okay?" I hugged my 8 year old sister. She didnt quite get why they fought either. We were all confused.
"April,Raven. Let's go." Dad said. He seemed eager to get out the house. Or the town itself. I opened the trunk and shoved mine and Raven's bag.
The reason dad named Raven,Raven is because her black hair and her quickness.
We started pulling out the driveway in a rush before mom got home. "I already found a house, ive been looking at it for weeks. Its a very pretty house, everyone gets their own rooms also." Dad said as he looked at the road. Raven sighed. And I knew why. Reason one is because; Her and mom were very close Reason two; She always wanted to share a room with me,she thinks she's too young to be by herself.
I closed my eyes and dreamed a much safer and better life. If only it were true.
