We pulled into the new house's driveway. Its a huge mansion with three windows on each side,it has a big red door with a golden painted door handle. "Woah!" Raven exclaimed. Yea. Better than mom could ever get. I thought. Dad unlocks the door with a tiny key,"Pick out your rooms." He opens the door you could hear some crack noises.
We step in the empty mansion. My sneakers make a crack noise as it hits the hard dusty wooden floor. I look around and see a huge place, living room. Then I see a counter with a stove and sink by it. Kitchen. Then I see the stairs. Not carpet like our old house. Wooden stairs. "Its a old house so its creeky and dusty." Dad said. I thought it was pretty cool.
Raven opened her door,it was painted pink it was a avrage sized room with a winow seal looking out into the front yard. "This is so awsome!" Raven turned all around to see the whole room, then she looked at me with a type of face,"When is mom coming?" She asked. I felt like I was going to choke. "Mom and dad got divorced, r-remember?" I croaked. What if she cried? What if she never talked to me again? What if- Raven spoke before I could finish my thought,"Oh yea. Sorry for asking." She said in a normal tone. I was shocked. Her and mom were so close. She looked at me then grabbed my hand and pulled me by the window seal. Its like the winow seals you can sleep or sit on.
"Me and mom haven't got along since she got fierd. Shes been yelling at me when no one was around. She called me names and threated to punch me." Raven said. Her voice sounded normal but also scared.
"Did she hurt you?" I said quickly but sternly.
I wouldnt let anyone threaten or hurt my sister.
"N-no." She croaked.
"Tell me the truth Raven!" I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Get out!" She yelled,"Get out!"
"Raven I-" I tried to finish.
She yelled louder this time.
"Get out!" She screamed.
Dad rushed into the room,"What's going on?" He asked.
"April was yelling at me!" Raven yelled
What? No! You were yelling at me!
"April Scarlet Jenson!" Dad said sternly. Dad was scary when he was mad.
"Dad I-" Again. Interupted. But it wasnt from someone it was by something. The door slamed shut faster than you could scream. Raven held on to me and dad backs away towards us. "What was that?!" Raven screeched. I dont even know myself. I thought.
"Kids,you okay?" Dad asked quickly.
"Fine," I say.
"Sorry," Raven croaked "April didnt yell at me. I yelled at her." Raveb said. I stared at Raven. Did she really say the truth? Was it my imagination? No. Apperently dad heard it also. "Why did you lie hunny?" Dad walked over to Raven and sat down infront of her.
"I was scared..." Raven continued,"the ghost would hurt me...it told me to lie daddy! I didnt want to!" Raven started bursting into tears. Ghost? Dad got up and opend the door,"April,go and pick your room while I talk to your sister." I got up from the window seal as my feet touch the soft carpet.
I close the door as it cracks and I look around at the three doors. One could be the bathroom. But no. I opened it,it was a large room with a red carpet. These people sure did love red. I stand at the entrance looking at the carpet. It wad the only room with that little carpet. I felt my dads hand on my shoulder. "How'd it go?" I asked, dad sighed. "I told her ghost werent real." I was shocked. Dad loved the supernatural, why would he turn now?
"Get some sleep." Dad walked away and walked into the door on the right. The door shut behind him.
I lefted the red carpet room and enterd a blue painted room with a bed. I jumped into bed and wonderd of what Raven had said.
