With the plethora of ignored calls (many of which were from his partner), D continues to endure in his currently sluggish state while ruminating over the recent battle. Covering himself with three layers of soft blankets while trying to comfort himself watching Harry Potter movies.

D finally picks up the phone when he removed himself from his subconscious state.

Voicemail: "Hi there D. I just wanted to let you know if you're still willing to come to Q's Christmas party. And one thing, I realized you haven't been very well lately and it didn't take all that much to guess why. Are the missions having you at edge again? We really need to talk this out," said by N.

D's heart races rapidly while he still tries to register everything his partner has expressed while being worried.

He finally became attentive as the doorbell rings while he goes down and skips a step he tumbles onto the staircase and falls flat onto the wooden floor. D ends up opening the door and notices his partner visibly even more concerned.

"D you really should be more careful," N helps to stabilize D while they both head to the living room.

"So now tell me D. Anything went down lately?" N raises his eyebrows while trying to have him engage into the conversation.

"Have you ever put yourself into the front lines and nearly caused havoc onto others lives?" D stated reluctantly while avoiding eye contact.

"Not the latter but definitely whenever my dad forces me to do things I'll rather pass...at work," N said while carefully observing his turbulent partner.

"and do you ever regret not acting quick enough?" D asked while attempting to hide his tears.

"I have. Even if you were stressed out while up in outer space, I don't think this is worth dwelling too much about. You wouldn't let anyone else degrade you even for the smallest things right?" N asks with D trembling and bursts into tears while covering his face onto his partner's chest.

N pats his back while reassuring him of his hero qualities and to not lose hope.

"Thank...you...for listening," D uttered silently as they both hug it out.
