"How about we finish coloring?" You turned to face the table that you had previously used as a shelter. You don't know when but all of the papers were now organized by color, it was kind of funny looking next to the hot mess that was the arts 'n' crafts bin. Sundrop placed his hand on your head patting it softly and tilted his own.

"That sounds like loads of fun!" He sat down in the spot that was originally his before the incident. "Sit! Sit! We have no time to waste!" He was so lively, the music picked up a bit, it sounded like it was back to normal again. "I'm adding googly eyes and glitter gluing fun shapes onto mines!" Sundrop was immediately engulfed in his many drawings, multitasking like no other. One page had sparkly glue all over it in a variety of pretty colors while another with drawings of what looked to be the main band playing a song.

You took the seat across from him, admiring the rough plastic texture of the colorful table. Though this time, something was different. You stared at the blank page, that was it. The page was blank. It was like the ocean, empty but full all at the same time. You couldn't bring yourself to draw anything, nothing came to mind. It was as if the paper was preventing you from altering it. This wasn't a nice feeling at all. Why can't you do it? You just had to draw a line, anything at all really, and move on from there. This activity felt like a chore, and chores aren't any fun.

"Sundrop?" Your voice must have startled him as the daycares music skipped for a split second before continuing. He looked up from his colorful pictures.

"Yes, (y/n)?" He instinctively looked at your paper, as if you were asking him to admire your drawing. To his surprise, it was completely blank. "Oh, dear! Where is your art? You made such a lovely picture earlier, what's the matter?" Sundrop, as caring as always, asks. "Would you like me to change the music? Or, or bring out more snacks? Although you may get a tummy ache-"

"No, -sigh-, it's not that." Are you even fully aware of what it is? It doesn't seem like you are, the words aren't working right now. It's just a feeling. Maybe he'll understand if you try to explain it to him. "I can't draw." It was so straight to the point that you ended up missing it completely.

"Of course, you can! I've seen it with my own eyes!" He laughed at the comment, but that isn't what you meant.

"No, not that either." You looked back at the void that was your blank canvas. "It won't let me draw." You were referring to that feeling. He somehow knew what you meant after that.

"OH! Would you like a coloring page instead? I've got plenty! Name anything! I'll print it out if we don't have it!" Yes! that is exactly what you wanted. How does he do that? Maybe he's magic?

"Can you draw me a picture to color? I don't care what it is." You looked up at Sundrop with hopeful eyes. He wasn't anything like those scary animatronics from your past. He radiated warmth, talked with you, made you feel better. Yeah, he's magic.

"YES, I WOULD LOVE TO!!" He was over the moon with joy, maybe he thought you were made of magic too.

Your smile and the laugh that accompanied it were contagious. As Sundrop got to work on the most amazing drawing ever, you noticed that you've sat for far too long. You wanted to lay down, not because you were tired, the floor was soft. It was a small section past the rows of tables where it was made of foam puzzle piece mats.

"Sun," He was preoccupied with the request you gave him, he was probably listening but you didn't want to drag him away fully anyways. "I'm going to lay on the floor, okay?" Without context, it was a bit odd but his smile stayed regardless.

"Are you tired?" His curiosity had snuck its way into the air though he never broke contact with the colorless line art.

"No, I just don't want to sit." With that, you walked over to the aforementioned section of the daycare. You softly made your way down to the ground lying on your back, arms and legs stretched out resembling that of a starfish. All felt still in that moment, not a sound nor a sight beyond the ceiling. This was... relaxing. Everything felt big. Like you were an ant. "Have you ever spun around really really fast and laid down right after?" It was your turn to be curious.
