Persephone stooped down to pluck some flowers. Napako ang kaniyang tingin sa isang partikular na bulaklak. She eyed it with curiosity. Ngayon lang niya iyon nakita...
She plucked the unfamiliar flower and showed it to Sose, her nymph friend na ngayon ay bumubunot din ng iba't-ibang klase ng bulaklak. "Hey.. alam mo ba kung ano ang pangalan ng bulaklak na ito?"
"That's a narcissus flower, Kore. It is named after Narcissus, a beautiful man who rejected the nymph Echo and Ameinias..."
"He might be that good looking to reject a nymph..." she said, deeply amused. Cause hell! Nymphs are beautiful!
Sose laughed softly, "He's really handsome, Kore. I saw him once but he's arrogant. Serves him right. Masyadong mataas ang tingin niya sa kaniyang sarili," inis na turan ng kaniyang kaibigan at kalaunan ay nagpatuloy na rin ito sa pagkwekwento, "Because of that rejection, Ameinias died calling for Nemesis..." the Goddess of Revenge. "...to avenge him." Yeah, Ameinias' a boy. Natural na rito iyon.. "That is when Narcissus saw his reflection on a pool and fell in love with his reflection..."
She was about to express her reaction but more nymphs came to the widow. They told them about the new flowers that they just have discovered.
"Tara, we will show it to the both of you!" yaya ng mga kaibigan.
"Kayo na lang muna.." tanggi ni Persephone.
The nymphs protested but Sose calmed them down.
"Sigurado ka?"
Ngumiti si Persephone at tinanguan ang kaibigan. Nginitian din siya nito pabalik at tumalikod na. The nymphs bid their farewell to Persephone.
Binalingan muli ni Persephone ang bulaklak. She leant down to pluck the narcissus but to her surprise, the Earth gaped open. Hades with his golden chariot rose up.
Hindi mapruseso ng utak ni Persephone ang nakita, basta ang alam na lang niya, nakasakay na siya sa gintong chariot at pinaandar na iyon ni Hades..
Nanlaki ang kaniyang mata. Tinatahak na pala nila ang daan patungong Underworld!
