I dragged Bruno by his wrist out of Casita, him hesitating but letting me do what I wanted.
"W-Where at we going, Y/N?" he questioned, I grinned.
"We're having a picnic!" I chirped, suddenly stopping in front of the house. "Casita!" I yelled, one of Casita's windows opening and throwing a basket.
I grinned and caught it, once again running and dragging Bruno.
He remained silent, maybe staring at the clear blue sky.
I was taking him to the nearby river, which had such a mesmerizing view that I had to show Bruno.
I stopped in my tracks as I saw our destination below, him not paying attention and bumping into me, both of us nearly losing our balance.
I let out an exhale, tumbling and falling onto Bruno on accident.
He yelped at the sudden action and lost balance, plummeting our bodies over. Unfortunately, we were on a hill, making us roll down.
We soon made a soft landing on the grass, making me let out a big huff of air. I opened my eyes, seeing a pair of widened brown eyes.
We stared at each other as he had me unintentionally pinned down, his face flushing by the seconds.
I burst out laughing, him smiling awkwardly at my random outburst. I wrapped my arms around his neck, hugging him close.
I felt him tense but quickly exhale and bury his face in the space of my neck.
After a few seconds, I tried getting up, only for him to push me back down. "Uhm, Bruno?"
I felt him smile into my neck, making my heart melt. "You're very comfortable." He whispered, snuggling deeper onto me.
I sighed, then felt panic wash over my body. "Bruno! The basket!" I yelled, him immediately bouncing off me from shock and landing on the floor.
We locked eyes, both of us averting eyes as we began quietly looking for the basket.
After a few minutes, he let out what seemed to be a scream of happiness.
"I found it!" He yelled victoriously, making me turn and seeing him standing up with the basket in one hand, the other fidgeting with his poncho.
I smiled at the sight of the basket, sighing in relief.
He averted eyes and lowered his head, handing me the basket nervously.
"H-Hey, I'm pretty hungry. Could we please eat?" He questioned, hugging himself. I smiled warmly.
"Of course, Querido," I spoke softly, him smiling and nodding nervously as his face heated up.
I placed the blanket on the floor, sitting down comfortably. I waited for him as I placed the basket in front of me, my smile never fading.
He smiled back, sitting down and placing his hands on his lap.
"What did you make?" He questioned, leaning to peek as I opened the basket.
"Arepa," I said simply, him nearly jumping up from joy. "Your mom taught me some weeks back, so I tried to perfect it," I explained as I took them out in napkins, handing him one.
He moved his eyes to the Arepa then to me, his eyes sparkling. "For m—e?" he questioned, his voice cracking.
"For you," I repeated whilst smiling, taking a bite out of mine.
He let out a happy hum as he took a bite, kicking his feet which made my heart leap with happiness.
He suddenly leaned down, pecking my lips before sitting back and continuing to eat happily, his eyes staying with the Arepa in satisfaction.
I grinned, placing my food down and jumping on him, showering his face with kisses. He stared with widened eyes and a red face for a few seconds, soon laughing and trying to push me away playfully. . It was soon dawn, both of us lying on the grass and staring at the sunset with full stomachs.
I turned my body to him, watching him fondly as his eyes glistened with the beautiful sun. We had talked for hours, and it was nearly nighttime.
I reached for the nearby picnic blanket, successfully reaching and wrapping it around me and Bruno's body.
I heard him chuckle, scooting closer to me. I wrapped my arms around him and snuggled into his neck, my hands resting on his chest.
He placed his chin on top of my head, letting out a sigh of content.
"Te amo, hermosa," he whispered, tangling our legs together.
I yawned, blinking a few times. "I love you too, Bruno."
