I let out a shaky sigh, my glossy eyes lowering to the ground. A small tear fell, me getting in an alley and dropping to the ground softly, hugging my knees tightly.Small sobs filled the alley, making me feel all the more pathetic.
"Ma'am, are you okay..?" I heard a tiny voice speak, I raised my head, seeing a small boy.
He looked at me worriedly, I held back tears and let out a weak smile. "Y—Yes, I'm alright, dear." I winced as my voice cracked, the boy not buying my cheap lie.
He sat down on his knees, opening his arms. "You're not okay. Here, everyone deserves a hug once in a while."
He whispered, I smiled warmly and picked him up, sitting him on my lap and hugging him tightly.
After a while, I set him down, he smiled. I returned the gesture, ruffling his dark hair.
He giggled, grabbing my wrist.
I got up, picking him up. "What's your name?"
"Antonio!"
"Well Antonio, we have to look for your parents." I cooed, tickling him, him snickering.
I walked around Encanto, holding Antonio's hand whilst he showed me all of his favorite spots.
I had never been happier.
