"Katherine, I love you."

"Darren, I'm sorry," I said while I'm closing my eyes.

"B-Bakit Katherine? Ano'ng mali sa akin? Bakit hindi mo akong kayang mahalin?" aniya.

Nararamdam ko ang sakit sa mga salita niya.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry"

My tears are starting to grow. I don't know what should I do. I can't love him back. I love him as a friend. The hardest part when your friend, your companion starting to like you. But here you are...unable to exchanges his feelings because you're stuck with other one. With another one that cheated on you.

"W-Walang mali sa iyo, Darren. Its just me."

After that I looked away. Hindi ko kaya ng eye contact dahil alam ko sa sarili ko na ang sama ko para saktan ang taong nandiyan lagi sa tabi ko. If only I can lecture or shift my feelings.....gagawin ko...but I can't...I don't have any powers.

"Katherine," pag-aabot niya ng kamay ko. Babawiin ko sana. "Please, just this once. I promise to not bothered you again."

I bite my lips, trying to stop my tears to explode.

"Kath, kahit isang beses lang oh. Mahalin mo naman ako. I'm begging you. Kahit kunwari lang, Kath. Kahit kapiraso lang ng pagmamahal mo oh. This time he looked away. I managed to find his face but he just hid it more. Masuyo kong inabot ang kanyang pisngi. Trying to wipe his tears but he just removed my hand. He nodded. Starting to stare at the moon. As if it's beautiful in the world.

"If I can change our position," while pointing at the moon. "How I wish to shine without you. How I wish to live without you...but I guess I'm ending it here. Even if how many times you pushed me away, Kath. I'm still here. I respect your decision. Mahal na mahal mo nga siya."

He raised his right hand, stopping me from what would I say.

"Mahal na mahal pa rin kita, Kath. Kahit ayaw na ayaw mo sa akin. Kahit sa umpisa pa lang na alam ko na....na bilang kaibigan lang ang kaya mo. Pero umaasa ako, Kath, dahil ang saya mo pagkasama ako."

"I'm sorry Darren. Ganoon lang ako sa ibang tao. Ganoon lang ako sa mga kaibigan ko."

"Tanginang kaibigan iyan, Kath. Ilang beses ko na 'yang narinig," he said then loosing my hands. He nodded continuous."Okay...okay, kath. I guess I need to set you free. I need to love myself first..kasi grabe 'yong sinugal ko sa iyo, Kath. Kahit walang assurance. But yah...I will respect your decision. Just help me to move on...just one more thing, Kath. Please cooperate, I need you to do it."

One move and he shift his body, his back is in my front. Wearing his white t-shirt and black pants. I looked away. Hindi ko kayang makita na tinatalikuran niya ako. Palagi siyang nandiyan 'pag kailangan ko siya pero 'pag siya na ang humihingi ng pagmamahal mula sa akin, hindi ko na magawa. Palagi ko na lang itong binubuhos sa iba.

"A-Ano'ng kailangan kong gawin kung gano'n?" I asked trying to not sounds an aching pig.

"Please...'pag magkikita man tayo. 'Wag mo na akong pansinin, despite of our memories...I will bring it with me. I will accept your decision. Buo na ang desisyon ko, Kath. Kakalimutan na kita para sa susunod nandiyan ako para sa'yo na wala ng nararamdaman pa...pero sana hindi ka pa huli, Kath."
