Now, the idea of sitting in someone's lap didn't seem like a big deal.

Until, you actually have to do it.

"Am I making you uncomfortable?" A low, timid mumble erupted you from your soaring thoughts and you glance back to see Giyuu's worried eyes on you. A feeling of security and warmth flooded your heart as you dismiss his concerns with a soft smile.

"I'm okay, Giyuu. You worry too much." You brush him off, taking a glance around the others who occupied the car with you.

Uzui failed to mention the lack of seats and little space there be for such a big car. It was disappointing to witness in person. You look around to see where everyone is seated.

Rengoku and Gyomei were obviously in the very front, driving and navigating the whole ride while Uzui, Shinobu, Mitsuri and Obanai occupied the middle section. Since there was only three seats in that section, Mitsuri happily sat in her boyfriend's lap with no problem.

In the very back was a small section. It was also a three seater. The small space was hard to maneuver in and the only other person small enough to fit perfectly fine was Muichirou, who was squeezed between Sanemi and Giyuu.

However, Muichirou was busy taking a nap after consuming a handful of snacks. So there wasn't much complaints from him.

Either way, sitting on someone's lap was the fastest way for you to lose your bold, charming facade and quickly turn into a awkward faucet. You could feel your mind pulling blanks in attempts of trying to keep a conversation with Giyuu.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to be sure you're comfortable." He replies softly, his eyes avoiding your gaze that was now back on him. You scoff lowly, slowly turning your torso to face him a bit.

"If anything I should be worried about you." You remark, feeling his gentle hands firmly set themselves on your hips to keep you in place.

"Why?" He tilts his head, curious.

You giggle. "Because you're at a kissing distance from me." Or maybe you haven't lost that bold facade after all. You heard him clear his throat as his face blooms into a faint pink, his body stiffening at your flirtatious comment.

It's too early to be flustered, Giyuu thought as he avoids your mischievous expression. It wasn't fair how you got away with all the things you were doing to him.

But for you, it was so easy to watch a shy, quiet boy like him become so flustered in an instant. It was almost like a talent or skill.

He glances over at the others. Uzui was busy annoying those sitting by him with his constant yelling and immature jokes. It was insane how they put up with it on a daily.

Upon realizing his stare, Uzui throws a menacing look at the stoic male. "Don't pop a boner now, Giyuu." He remarks with a loud laugh that was soon followed with a hard smack from Shinobu, who began to scold him.

"Don't ruin the moment!" Mitsuri exclaims with a frown, watching the two of you suddenly go quiet. Now was not the time or place for that type of joke, especially considering how tightly close you two were.

You watch as the three of them in front of you start to create a scene of chaos. Giyuu notices how uncharacteristically quiet you were being and gently bounces his thigh to get your attention.

"Hey." He raises an eyebrow as you look at him with a clueless expression. "Hm?" A small hum was all he got from you.

What was wrong? He was wondering.
