finals week aahh"Ow, be gentle. Please."
You sigh. "I'm trying, but you keep squirming." Mumbling softly, you carefully grasp his jaw and dab a clean napkin along the slight swelling on his cheek. The blaring of the music outside of that bathroom door was relentless, despite it being muffled, and you could still feel the faint vibrations from the noise.
You and Giyuu were currently occupying one of the bathrooms within the house, trying to clean up his wounds from the fight that occurred earlier. There weren't many materials to help ease the pain as you tried to clean up some of the blood from his face.
Giyuu's eyes shift from you towards the wall behind you. "I'm sorry, [y/n]." He murmurs sincerely, knowing how troublesome you were feeling. He couldn't blame you for feeling that way, after all, he was the one that initiated the first punch.
That's right, Giyuu landed a punch on Muzan for putting his hands on you. Then hell broke loose. You were pretty sure some other random people joined in just for fun. It wasn't until Rengoku came barging in to break up the fight since Uzui and Sanemi were too 'enlightened' to do anything.
"Hmm." You press the damp napkin along a small cut on his cheek, carefully dabbing away some of the dry blood as you listen to his apology. You knew Giyuu meant well, and you weren't upset with him. However, him inserting himself into a situation like that did worry you a bit.
Though, Giyuu is not a mind reader. He didn't know how you are feeling at the moment and was unsure whether or not you're upset with him. He winced slightly as you brush over a delicate spot on his cheek. His eyes full of uncertainty as he watched your face for any small signs of emotion. A silver of a response.
His hand gently reached up to grab your wrist, the same one that was carefully tending to his face. "Say something, please." He mumbles lowly, watching as you shift your eyes from his cheek to his eyes. You could feel his uncertainty grasp at your heartstrings, realizing that he wanted reassurance and for you to speak to him about anything.
Giyuu watched your face carefully, quickly noting how your eyes soften as your gaze meet his. Your eyebrows twitching slightly in worry as your thumb ghosts over the cut on his cheekbone. "I was just worried since a lot was happening at once." You finally speak up, fully aware of how delicate this vulnerable moment was. It was rare for the two of you to open up like this, but it was refreshing, nonetheless. "But you don't have to apologize, it all happened in the heat of the moment."
You watch as Giyuu sighs heavily in relief, as if a weight was lifted from his shoulders and you noticed how his body slowly unravels from all the pent-up tension and anxiety he was harboring. Feeling his hand release your wrist, you place the damp napkin onto your other hand and grab his wrist to look at his bruised knuckles.
With an amused scoff, you softly brush one of your fingers over each bump on top of his hand.
Giyuu looks down at his hand, fixated on your fingers holding and caressing the broken skin of his knuckles. So much caution and care under your touch as he quietly clears his throat. "Still, it wasn't my intention to worry you so much." He shifts on the toilet seat cover, adjusting his position to allow you to stand closer to him.
"You think too much, Giyuu." You mumble in a playful tone with a soft smile evident on your face. He was always so thoughtful of you, yet you wondered if him being too thoughtful was a bad thing. Too much of something was always bad.
