Chapter 11

Thomas's P.O.V.

I heard them last night and it made me sick, so I slept on the couch. He left me to have sex with Michael. I forced the tears back all night while watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on Netflix. I barely slept so when I woke up I instantly started texting my bestie from kindergarten, Lyne.

I talk to her about everything although she goes to a private school now. Her parents are very strict and didn't want her to become the next teen mom so they send her to an all girls school, little do they know that they have sent her to heaven.

For some strange reason, her parents thought that we were a couple. We are not for each other, we both found our sexualities together at the same time. We thought since we were such good friends we would be a great couple. We tried to make out but boobs creeped me out and penises scared Lyne.

Since she spends the week at her grandma's house, which is closer to her school, I only get to see her on the weekends. I honestly don't understand how we managed to keep in touch.

But today, I plan on avoiding Joey and to just hang out with Lyne.

As I close my door, I hear a little whimper. I look down to my right to see Joey sitting down with his hands in his face.

Joey?" He looks up to me with red, puffy eyes, face wet and red.

"Thomas." Joey says in a whisper.

"What's wrong, why are you crying?" I sit down across from him so I can hear him better

"I don't know," He looks down at his hands and I take the time to examine this situation. He has a bag in his lap and is sitting right in front of Michael's door. What did Michael do to make him cry? "I broke up with Michael." He still won't make eye contact with me.

"Why were you crying?" I ask and he finally looks at me.

"Me and Michael's relationship just wasn't what I had wanted. It wasn't what I thought." I stand up and help him up also. I watch as Joey struggles to smile up at me so I hug him.

"Want to come with me to hang out with one of my friends?" He nods.

"Who's this friend of yours?" He takes my hand as we start walking to the elevator.

"Her name is Lyne." I look back at him to catch him frown and I chuckle.

"What if she doesn't like me?"

"She'll like you." I haven't really told her about Michael though. "I hope." I mouth to myself.

"How do you know?" His hand tightens in mine.

"Joey, enough questions." He frowns at me as we get onto the elevator.

"Can we get breakfast?" I look down to him. "Oops that was a question, I'm just hungry." He bites his lip and looks at the changing floor numbers. I chuckle.

"Yeah, how does bagels sound?" He smiles up at me and nods. He is so adorable.

We get into my car and drive to the local bakery, we both get a muffin and a cream cheese bagel.

"So what's Lyne like?" Joey says stuffing his face. We are sitting in one of the booths in the bakery.

"She's very artistic and very imaginative. We've been friends since kindergarten." He huffs before stuffing more of the bagel into his mouth getting some cream cheese around his mouth. "You'll learn more once you meet her." He rolls his eyes and I chuckle. Why does it seem like he doesn't like her although he hasn't even met her yet.

He side eyes me and I stop laughing and go back to my bagel. Is he jealous? I bite the inside of my cheek in order to not start laughing again.

"Want some orange juice?" I ask him and he nods with his mouth full. He should eat slower, I'm surprised he didn't choke.

"Okay I'll be right back." His eyes go wide and he flails his arms to motion me to wait. He pulls out 2 dollars from his wallet.

"It's fine," I chuckle and get up anyway. He gets up and shoves the money into my hand. "Okay," He swallows what was in his mouth and smiles at me. I wish that he would just let me pay for him. He always insists on paying for himself.

I set the orange juice and sit down.

"Thanks!" He takes the bottle of Orange juice and chugged it before I carefully pull it away from his face.

"Slow down boy." His face gets pink for split second.

We save our muffins for later.

The drive to Lyne's house was filled with Joey rapping along to Eminem songs. Apparently Joey can listen to anything, as long as it isn't country.

We come to a stop and Joey is glaring out the window at Lyne's house.

"Come on," I say opening my door and he does the same. He takes my hand as we walk up to the door. I rung the doorbell and smile down at him. Joey gives me a questioning look.

The door opens, "Hi, Thomas." She gives me a hug. Joey has a pout on his face.

"Joey, this Lyne."

"Hi, Joey." Lyne gives him one of her big bear hugs. He smiles to her but it's fake.

She welcomes us in and Joey takes my hand again before whispering to me.

"I don't like her."

(Lol isn't Joey so cute! Thomas and Joey are both so adorable. Anyway, how did you feel about this chapter, what do you think is gonna happen next? Do you guys like Lyne so far? See you guys soon. XD)
