[THIRTY-THREE] [Another LONG ASS CHAPTER!]

(Time 7:00 a.m. Friday Christmas Eve!)

Margaret Ann Pearce's (POV)

Looking over at my sleeping loves, all curled up together to stay warm, I sigh in content. I feel like my heart grows ten times bigger with all the love I feel for them. I have the sudden image of the Grinch and when his heart grew bigger, which has me lightly chuckling.

We had another good day yesterday, but Sarah, Aubrey and I did talk about our time together as partners. Aubrey was still embarrassed about what we did the day before, but after we reassured her she was back to her happy and loving self. Her reaction shows me we need to spend a bit more time together as partners; we've moved so fast with our little one, but we need to spend time with our big girl as well. I hope the gift I have for them will help with that and maybe we can finally have that talk about us moving in together officially.

With another yawn I consider getting up, which I really need to do. We decided we'd have a big lunch today, then tomorrow we would have something a little smaller. That way we can focus on unwrapping gifts and spending as much time together having fun as we can. So Gabby, Amelia, Grace, Cathy and I made plans to get up early and prepare lunch for today, as well as making a couple of things for tomorrow that will take no time at all to heat up. I'm sure they're all up already, so I really should join them, but my girls are just so warm and snuggly.

I give myself another five minutes of cuddling, then get up to do my morning routine and get dressed. Today's outfit is a traditional ugly sweater; this one has a silly dinosaur tripping and crashing into the Christmas tree with lights and ornaments hanging around their neck. My favorite part is we got three, so my loves and I are going to match!

Finally making my way down to the kitchen my prediction is proven true when I see everyone already there, prepping foods.

"Good morning ladies!" I say as loudly as I dare, enough to scare them but not enough to wake up the whole house.

Each of them either jump or squeal, then glare at me accusingly, but I just shrug.

"Too easy dears!"

We break out into light laughter, then get to work.

Waking up to sloppy kisses and being shaken is not what I expected this morning, but knowing they were from our baby made it a little bit better. Just a bit though.

"Nooo let me sleep longer!"

Unfortunately for my sleep, our baby shakes me again.

"M-Mommy...Mommy h-hurts! I went potty, M-Mommy!"

Those words are enough to pull me out of my sleepy state and jump up. My poor baby has tears running down her face and looks absolutely miserable as I immediately lay her down on the bed to change her diaper. She's settled down a bit, but still whimpering as she sucks and chews on her hand. When I remove her diaper I see she went both number one and two, which looks like it did hurt.

I look at my baby with a little pout on my face while I rub her tummy. "It's okay baby. Mommy will help make it better for next time, yeah."

She sniffles and nods while I get her dressed in black leggings, fuzzy green socks and red rain boots. I even manage to get a giggle out of her as I pull the dinosaur Christmas sweater over her head. Although we plan to take Christmas photos tomorrow, I want to get some today before all the ruckus with gifts is too distracting for our girl.
