SEVEN: Dessert?! Meeting Goddesses! & Getting to know them!

[SEVEN]

(Time 1:16 p.m. Dash & Dine Diner)

Aubrey Barrett's (POV)

I scoot back in my chair, swinging my legs and making myself more comfortable. When I think it's safe I peek over at the two goddesses again, but the raven haired beauty catches me and even though she smiles at me, I squeak and look away. I remembered to send a small smile back though!.

I pick up a menu to hide behind, but when I see it's the dessert menu I start to look it over, deciding if I want to try something today. Before I can look through the list though, a plate is placed down in front of me. I look up at Kristal, then back down to the delicious looking piece of chocolate cake.

"I haven't ordered yet. How did you know?"

"Oh not me dear, those two goofs over there."

Kristal points at the two goddesses, who are eating their own slice of chocolate cake. I immediately blush, then try to form words despite my shock.

"C-Could you thank th-them for me? And could I please get a glass of milk?"

She smiles and nods, laying a hand on my shoulder. "Will do honey, enjoy it okay? And I'll be right back with that milk."

I nod and look back over at the two women. The one with the black hair looks up and smiles and while I've caught her eye I mouth 'thank you' to her, pointing to my slice of cake. Her smile grows and I can tell I'm blushing hard, so I squeak and look back at my cake.

I pull it closer to me and giggle, taking a picture to send to Amelia. She has to know about this!

'Amelia! The two goddesses sent me dessert. I think my face is going to fall off from blushing so much right now!'

I can't wait any longer and take a bite of the chocolate-on-chocolate cake. The moment it hits my tongue I can't help but moan. My goddess, that's freaking delicious.

I swing my legs happily and take another bite as Kristal sets my milk down.

"Is it good honey?" she asks.

"It's amazing, I haven't had something so rich and sweet in a while. I mainly stick to my homemade pies and occasional chocolates here and there."

"Yep, Dasha's chocolate layered cake is a specialty for all us women around here."

"Just the women?" I ask with a giggle, the question causing a hearty laugh from Kristal.

"Alright, some of the men as well, dear," she says with a wink. "Now, you enjoy the rest of your treat. Oh! Your entire meal has been paid for."

I open my mouth to protest, but Kristal interrupts. "And I was told you can't argue about it."

"Thank you," I tell her shyly. "I'll still leave you a tip though. I'm assuming they're the ones who paid?"

"They are. Margaret Ann Pierce and Dr. Sarah Evans Pierce."

"Thank you. And I'll be sure to thank them once I'm finished."

She winks and looks over at the two, then to me. "They'll probably beat you to it dear, they're finished. Enjoy and see you next time honey."

I nod as she leaves, then go back to eating my cake. I finish it quickly, along with my milk and wash it all down with the last of my water. Once I'm finished I'm glad they only sent a small piece, because I'm definitely stuffed now. I wipe my mouth with a napkin and scoot the plate away from me.

Before I can get up Amelia finally responds to my last text.

'Aww, now that is sweet of them! Looks like you have admirers too! Good luck Bird!'
