The night before New Year's Eve
Andy stood in the doorway of Andrea's
bedroom. The little girl had been with them a week which still seemed so unreal
Robert; "she's asleep come on let's go to bed," he said as he wrapped his arms around but still, they both stood watching the little girl sleep.
After another few minutes, they decide to go to bed.
Andy; "I still can't get my head around that we have a little girl sleeping in the next room and she's calling us mummy and Robert". She said as she took Robert hand in hers
Robert; "I know, from having the little girl here and us being back together again it's all come too quickly, I would like her to start calling me daddy but I know it's in her time, but I'm loving every minute"
Andy; "I'm glad you're loving every minute too because I ain't letting you go again," she said as she got closer to him
Robert; "good because I ain't going nowhere I'm here with my wife and my beautiful daughter what more can I ask for. There are two things I can ask for but for now, I'm going to keep it to myself because I want to love you both more before asking for anything else."
Andy; "Tell me what else do you want", she asked smiling
Robert; "It doesn't matter at the minute but when the time is right I'll tell you". He said rubbing his hand over her stomach.
Robert; "it's New Year's Eve tomorrow what plan do we have"
Andy; "I don know what to do, maybe we can go out for the day with Andrea and celebrate later with the team get them to come over and we can play some board games"
Robert; "sounds perfect where shall we go."
Andy; "There's an ice-skating ring in the centre with some stalls they'll be some things that she can go on"
Robert; "ok sounds perfect as they fell asleep together."
Andrea; "mummy wake up its morning".
Andy; "good morning darling did you sleep well"
Andrea; "I slept all night which I have never done since my parents had gone. Can I lay with you for a bit"
Andy; "of course, you can I'm just going toilet and we can cuddle together but you can cuddle Robert if you want to."
The little girl looked at Robert and back to Andy
Andrea; "I'll wait till you come back in."
It wasn't that she didn't want to cuddle Robert because she did but she was a little scared. Before her parents died her father wasn't around as much he was working all the time and when she did get the chance to ask him for a cuddle she got shouted at telling her he was busy. To Andrea, she felt like her real father didn't want to know her.
When it came to cuddling together Andy was always in the middle and Andrea was at Andy's side.
Andy; Good morning, she turned to Robert, Andrea doesn't have many clothes so I was wondering to nip out and get her some things and leave you both here".
Robert; "ok shouldn't be too hard right she's can do whatever she wants to do"
Andy; "don't forget to give her some lunch and maybe a drink" she laughs
