Frasier looked across the battlefield at his opponent. All 4 of them. He shook his head and his vision cleared somewhat. "Don't think I'll go easy on you because I cant see which of you is real." Fraiser said as he reached for a pokeball. He fumbled but finally found one. "Come out partner! Let's show this uppity rich boy what we've got!" Fraiser tossed the ball, upon impacting the ground it opened and red light erupted out and formed into the shape of a large blue tortoise like creature. It's shell opened and 2 large silver nozzles popped out. "BlaaassssssToooiiiiisssssseeeeee!" the creature roared.
Salvador raised an eyebrow. "Starting off strong eh? Very well. Go Skarmory!" He tossed his own pokeball, and out came a large metallic bird. It squawked loudly as it flapped its wings and took flight. "We'll let you have the first move." Salvador volunteered.
Across the battlefield Frasier frowned. "Don't give me any charity you'll regret later because you think I'm incapable! Blastoise use Dark Pulse!" Fraiser said with a dramatic wave of his hand. Blastoise leapt forward and fired a blast of shadowy energy from the cannon on its right shoulder, hitting the Skarmory dead on, and then exploding into a cloud of smoke.
When the smoke cleared, Skarmory was on the ground, struggling to stand up. Its strength gave out and it collapsed, unconscious.
"My, all that in one attack. That's impressive." Salvador said, as he held up Slarmory's pokeball and returned it.
"Consider that my greeting." Frasier replied, his voice colored with arrogance and snark.
Salvador chuckled "Don't let your pride get the better of you my friend. It may be your undoing."
Frasier scoffed. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh just a word to the wise. What say we up the ante of this battle?" Salvador retorted.
"Up the ante how?" Frasier replied quizzically.
"You can use Mega Evolution yes? Why not show me, and we'll see how strong you truly are." Salvador replied calmly."Alright, you asked it for it rich boy!" Frasier pulled a small stone out of his pocket. "Used to wear this thing as a pendant when I was younger. I thought I was so stylish. Heh. But it was a good place to hide a Key Stone so. Here we go Blastoise! Mega Evolve!" Frasier tossed the stone up, caught it, and gripped it tight. It began glowing with a rainbow of light. Blastoise began to glow, a round stone with colored lines inside appear on its hand. The stones shot out arcs of light that connected, eventually coalescing on Blastoise and enveloping it, surround it in a sphere of energy. After a moment the sphere glowed pink and then shattered open like it was made of glass. Blastoise had changed. It had two smaller cannons on its arms, and the cannons on its back had shifted from its shoulders to sit over its head, fusing together into a much larger cannon. Blastoise roared at Salvador.
"Remember when you lose, that you asked for this!" Fraiser yelled.
Salvador smirked. "Let's make this a triple battle. I want to show you something wonderful." He tossed out 3 pokeballs. A large metal bipedal rhinoceros looking creature with 2 horns on its head, a large snake like creature that looked to be made of metal boulders, and a red bipedal lobster with wings appeared.
"These three are my best Pokemon. Let us see if you can best us!" Salvador yelled back.
Frasier pulled out 2 other pokeballs. He was starting to sober up. "This battles just getting started!" He tossed the balls and out came a yellow fox/rabbit looking creature with a white mane. And a large orange lion/tiger/dog hybrid.
"Jolteon! Arcanine! ready for battle!"
Fraiser stood at the ready.
"Ah, excellent. Now then. Let me show you how out classed you are little champion. Oh, I suppose former champion is more appropriate." Salvador said with a look of mischievous contempt on his face. "This is it Frasier, look and despair as you see how powerless you are." Salvador raised his left arm, his shirt sleeve pulled down and revealed his watch. "Mega Wave activate." he said waving his right hand over the watch. It glowed with a purple energy, which then shot out and covered his 3 pokemon, becoming an aura around them. It surged and broke, and the 3 pokemon, Steelix, Aggron, and Scisor were all in their mega forms.
Frasier stood in shock "did you just pull off a triple mega evolution?!" His pokemon themselves were also worried, taking on battle stances and crying out in agitation.
A wicked grin crossed Salvador's face "Indeed I did. I told you, you would look on and despair! Now, execute Maneuver 49. Triple Attack!"
His pokemon moved with efficient ferocity each one executing a variety of maneuvers and attacks. Frasier's team was on the ground unconscious in seconds. Frasier sank to his knees, "just what the hell was that?!" He thought aloud.
"That was a demonstration of my power, and of what you could have. Come and work for me Mr. Blue, and not only could you use power like that. You could help us to change the world!" Salvador said, having called his pokemon back into their balls, and walked across the field. He knelt and extended his hand. Frasier looked up. He hesitated, but ultimately reached out and took Salvador's hand. He flashed back to his childhood. His friend and rival at the lab the day they got their first Pokemon. He held his Squirtle tight, boiling with excitement. He and his Rival's Charmander did battle. He won. "That's why you don't mess with me! I'm gonna be the best there is! Smell ya later, loser!" He put the Squirtle back into its pokeball and left whistling a rather catchy tune he'd thought up. He should look into using it as theme music for when he was Champion.
"Dont regret this offer when I become the best their is." Frasier said standing up, he shook Salvador's hand. "When do I start?"
Salvador just smiled.
