It'd been a few days since Bakugou's classification test. The bloodwork came back and he had read and reread the conclusions over and over.
His estimated age range was toddler to young kid, likely 3-5, with obvious occasional younger or older headspaces depending on the situation.
While the headspace still meant he'd keep a good amount of mobility and independence (compared to exclusive toddler or baby headspaces), it still came with some baggage. Like the poor control on certain bodily functions if he slips into the younger end.
Which brings him to his boyfriend droning on about what they should and should not buy at the store today.
Aizawa sensei insisted they go shopping soon since Bakugou's first real drop could happen any time and they needed to be prepared. Which means they need supplies that catered to both ends of the possible spectrum Bakugou could land. Especially since early drops tend to vary a lot. They needed toys, clothes, food, protection, and who even knows what else.
"Now Kat, we're gonna be buying some things that you're not gonna be very happy about." Kirishima reminded the blonde. Bakugou just huffed, arms crossed.
"I don't need anything." Bakugou insisted, though it was more like he was trying to convince himself of that.
Kiri sighed, "We're not just gonna be buying the boring and embarrassing stuff! We'll also be getting snacks and whatever toys you want!" He encouraged. It would probably be easier to bring Bakugou along if he was in headspace or at least close to it. That way they could gauge what Little Bakugou likes.
Said Little perked up a bit at the mention of toys. He'd been teetering on the edge of headspace all day today as he overthought his results. It just made him want to go to bed and find out this was all just a bad dream. But also the memory of the warm feeling he had inside as he held hands with Kiri at the museum floated into his mind and assured him that maybe being Little sometimes isn't so bad.
Kiri immediately caught on to the growing excitement of Bakugou's scent and decided to press more about the toys, "The store we're going to has a whole lot of cool stuff to choose from. They have stuffed animals, lego sets, action figures of all the pro heroes..." Kiri's voice trailed off.
"...You think they've got All Might?" Bakugou asked slowly, tone holding a bit of anticipation.
"Probably! But we gotta hurry up and get there to find out! If we wait too long, they might sell out!" Kiri said with a persuading tone. Bakugou sat up some, seemingly alarmed at the idea that all the All Might toys might be all sold out.
He was in the middle of swinging his legs over the side of the bed when Big Bakugou came back to the forefront, "You're trying to trick me." He hissed, narrowing his eyes.
Kiri deflated, "How am I trying to trick you?" He wondered, disappointed that Bakugou caught on.
"Trying to make me...slip." Bakugou stated, the last part being barely a whisper.
"I mean, it would be easier to shop for Little Bakugou if it was Little Bakugou coming to the store with me. But Big Bakugou is being a big grumpy meanie who's not gonna get any toys." Kiri insisted, hoping that the use of more childish language would help the blonde slip.
And Bakugou would be lying if the threat of not getting toys didn't make his heart drop for a moment. He frowned.
"No, you're being the meanie-er-asshole here!" Bakugou declared, correcting himself to use a "Big" word. Sadly, all these attempts to stay "Big" weren't working all too well.
