There were so many bursts of color as Charlotte walked through the streets. The sound of music filled the air as dancers dressed in bright colors of red and green paraded through the streets, busting a few moves every now and then.
Seeing so many happy people caused Charlotte to feel like even more of an outcast as she walked through the bustling street, the coldness of winter biting into her skin.
She was tired of feeling bad for herself.
Charlotte's train of thought was suddenly interrupted.
"Enjoying the night are we?" she turned to peer at the light skinned Adonis who casted a charming smile in her direction.
"Something like that."
"Its pretty tough to not be enjoying Christmas," he said as they walked down the street the lights on either side illuminating the night.
"I mean the festivities, the food and family, they're everything," he spoke in such a way that she felt compelled to enjoy every single thing about Christmas.
"Well, when you put it that way it sounds irresistible."
She had felt as if she was in a trance as she watched him breathe in the fresh air and then, suddenly turn to look at her with a mischievous glint in his emerald eyes.
"I want to show you something," he said, grasping onto her wrist as the sound of drums resounded everywhere.

"That was so wonderful," Charlotte cried, unable to contain the giddy feeling that had consumed her.
She couldn't have helped but to stare in awe at the array of lights that they passed on their way out of Enchant Christmas. It was truly a wonder, the lights reminded her of the stars in the sky that had lit her way home on many a night.
"This was all so sweet, thank you."
"I'm glad that you liked it," he replied, his dimples deepening as he smiled.
"You know something?" Charlotte began, all the while staring at the man who had been a complete stranger just an hour ago.
"Its just so convenient that you had two tickets for that thing," she said, causing his arm to stiffen in her hand.
Just then Eros stopped abruptly, causing her to pause.
"I wanted to tell you this earlier on tonight, I-I'm Cupid and I actually came here tonight to help you loosen up, you were the only one who didn't have a wish for Christmas. This was the least I could do." he released all in one breath.
Charlotte could barely fathom what he had just told her as she stood with a look of bewilderment.
"So your name isn't Eros?"
"Yes it is but I thought that Cupid would have been obvious so I went with that one," he explained, a look of concern etched on his face.
"I have something to show you," Eros said, extending a hand.
She'd hesitated a bit before allowing him to grasp her hand.
In a matter of seconds the two had reached a park and was standing in its centre
"Just watch," Eros assured as he reached into the pocket of his blue jeans, pulling out a small bag and sprinkling a of red, glittery dust which caused a sleigh to appear out of nowhere.
"Its Christmas dust," Eros offered a shocked Charlotte as she stood with wide eyes and her mouth agape.
"And this is Santa's Sleigh, hop in" he said, patting the front of the sleek red vehicle.
It was so cozy inside as the two set off towards the sky, the stars had seemed even closer now as Charlotte stared in awe at the open sky.
"Look there's a man in the moon," she called out, laughter ringing out in the night air.
Turning to Eros she stared at his flaxen hair as it moved with the wind, he seemed so focus as he held onto the reins which were attached to the reindeers.
"You know something, you've already given me my gift. The gift of happiness," Charlotte told him softly as her eyes rove his face and then fell down to his lips.
As he turned ever so slightly, Charlotte leaned in and kissed him passionately, her hands grasping into his hair as she did so.
The feel of small drops of ice was what caused them to finally pull away as they stared at the million of tiny specks of snow that seemed to twinkle in the night.
The spirit of Christmas was alive.
