'Don't worry, we got your back.'
Scott said as he put his arm around the girl in front of Derek's building. He knew she was nervous beyond belief by how much she fiddled with the loose fuzz on her ripped white jean shorts. She looked up at him and nodded, all of them knowing they would probably regret this and have to calm her down from some powerful emotion about to take her. Stiles took Scott's place of comforting her and lifted her up over his shoulder, making all three laugh some.
"Dammit Stilinski! Put me down!"
'Nope.'
"Stiles I'm serious!"
'Me too.'
She looked at her surroundings and slapped his butt hard enough to prove her point. Scott was walking behind the two and burst out laughing at her.
'Hey!'
Stiles jumped so she jumped with, her ribs getting pushed a little too hard in the process.
"Stiles I'm serious. It feels like my ass is showing, let me down."
He looked over at what she was talking about and fixed her shorts for her, making her blush and cover her face when Scott kept laughing.
'All good.'
He said with a small butt tap. She sighed and groaned, how long does it take to get to his loft?! Soon they stopped and Stiles let her down, instantly she fixed her shorts and her shirt which she didn't want to mention was also uncomfortable on his shoulder. She was starting to regret her semi fancy outfit, maybe an off shoulder crop top wasn't the best idea. She fixed the see through sleeves and the corset looking middle and smiled when it felt better.
'All done?'
"Yes. Thank you for caring and holding my jacket, Scotty."
'Of course.'
She grabbed her leather jacket back as Stiles knocked on the door, Isaac running over and opening it for them. As they walked in he gave the boys bro hugs and Aukai a real one, lifting her up and spinning her around while she laughed and held on tight. When he let her down and closed the door Derek walked over, Peter following behind.
"Dammit Isaac."
'I'm sorry, boo.'
'Cousin, we thought it's time you sorted this out.'
"I thought it's just dinner, not therapy."
She growled at the two traitors, making Isaac regret it all. Derek sighed and Peter just stood there, Stiles watching him as Scott walked right to her side.
'She's right man. You can't fix something that doesn't want to be fixed. It takes a lot of time and she needs to fully heal before she can deal with it. It's not easy.'
"So how about we just eat, maybe try to act like some weird stereotypical normal family and maybe I can get closer to forgiving him?"
Derek looked at Peter and they both nodded to the girl, making her smile just a tiny bit. They all went to the kitchen to grab food and Derek gave his cousin a hug, missing her so badly. They grabbed their food and sat down on the couch to watch some random show, Aukai at the arm rest with Stiles, Scott, Isaac, Derek and Peter on her right in that order. While she took a bite in her burger Derek said they got from Red Robin's Red Robin's is the best and you can at me on it she saw Family Feud and told them to play it.

After 3 hours of being over at Derek's loft everyone has a lot of fun. Aukai and Isaac flexing every time they got an answer right, Scott laughing when Stiles flexed too early for his wrong answers and the two oldest boys just admiring their weird ass family. But the main thing on all of their minds, besides Scott's, was Aukai's smile. Stiles thinking about how much he loves it, Derek and Isaac thinking about how much they missed it and Peter thinking about the last time he really saw her smile like that. So pure and genuine, the last time when it was around him on purpose being before the fire. Now it was only when she was with her friends and he just happened to be there. Scott and Aukai were too busy fighting about answers to notice the men watching her smile. After they stopped because the show proved she was right she noticed, feeling creeped out at first but then realizing what it was all about.
"Ok guys I get it. Just stop staring at me, it feels weird."
Scott finally noticed and laughed when all the boys put their attention back on the show or each other, Aukai giving a little laugh with him. After that episode ended they all decided they would wrap it up and the three would leave. As the boys gave the other three bro hugs and Aukai had already hugged her cousin and best friend, she stood in front of her father and looked in his eyes.
"I want you to really remember the fact that you tried to kill me, fuck up my friends' lives which would do the same to mine and the first sign you gave me that you were healing after the fire was your middle finger."
'I know. It's been stuck there for-'
"WITH that said. I'm trying my best to forgive you. But you really need to prove your worth it. I don't want a dead beat dad and you know I will easily drop your ass. I have other people to fill up the space where you would be if you fuck it up. People who wouldn't hurt me like you have. So are you seriously going to try or do you want to give up?"
'I want to try. Of course I do.'
Aukai teared up a little and smiled, giving him a hug around his chest seeing she was short. Peter was hesitant to hug her back, not having the feeling of being hugged for years. He smiled and teared up to a little, waving with Derek and Isaac as the three left.
'You're crying.'
Isaac pointed out before smiling a little and going to his room. Derek patted his shoulder and did the same, leaving Peter to just go to his room too.
🖤
'I'd say that was successful.'
Scott chirped from the back seat, a smile on his face. Stiles looked at Aukai then in the mirror at Scott and laughed, nodding in agreeance.
"Yeah. That was worth it."
Aukai gave Scott a hug as he left to get out and waved at his mom when she opened the door for him. Once the door closed Stiles drove back home, grabbing her hand and kissing her knuckles at random times. She always smiled and giggled hate that word when he did so, just making Stiles fall for her even more.
