Chapter 2

Y/n's POV.

After I had the conversation I went to go find Paul who was in the training room practicing is combat skills. I sneak behind him and jump on his back and he falls down taking me with him.

I could tell he was surprised but when he saw me he just started laughing. "Y/n you scared the shit out of me!" He said while laughing. "Well since you are clearly so good at sneak attacks wanna fight?" I said cockily

" your on!" He said. He immediately put up his shield and so did I then we started fighting. Paul and I always loved training with each other, Paul was always better than me and no matter how hard I tried I could admit he was the better combat fighter.

I went to plunge by knife by his shoulder when I flipped me and slammed me on the ground but made sure to cushion my fall.

I was hovering over me our faces centimeter apart and we just stayed there. I was so close I could feel his breath on my our nose centimeter from touching. I was staining right at his eyes but is eyes were staining right at my lips.

"Am I interrupting something?" Gurney said.

Pauls POV.

"Am I interrupting something?" Gurney said

We immediately sat up and stood by each other. "Oh no! We were just doing some combat skills" y/n said quickly.

I just stood their in awe about the fact that we almost kissed, wait does that mean she likes me too?! I was interrupted with my thoughts when I heard Gurney say " Paul!" " oh. Uh. Yeah we were just fighting." I stated

"Y/n, If you could leave us" Gurney said

Y/n's POV.

"Y/n, If you could leave us." Gurney said

"Yeah sure" I say. When I walk out I see Paul looking at me I give him a smile and walk out the door.

"Y/n dear, come on its time to get ready for the ceremony" Jessica tells me.

Me and Jessica get fitted into our dresses for the ceremony

When I was done getting ready I met Paul up with his family so we could head to the ceremony. When I saw Paul he looked so handsome and almost older looking.

It got me thinking of the moment in the combat room, but I can't help but wonder what happened if we did kiss.

Paul POV.

She looked absolutely stunning as her eyes met mine the way her strawberry hair stood out with the dress and how her eyes popped she was a vision.

During the ceremony I stood next to my father while y/stood behind and beside my mother. I kept stealing glances at her and we would make eye contact them sheepishly shy away.

It was only when I saw a women in a dark dress with her face covered that I saw Y/n's face row scared of the women.

I made me curious on who it was. I gave her a worried look but she brushed it off and gave me a smile.

God. That smile what I would do to see that every time of the day, I don't even think I realize how she has me trapped around her finger.
