Chapter 3

(Josie's POV)

After I made my way back to the room where Finch was waiting for me. Things started to turn into a heated argument as she starts accusing me of being blinded by Hope. I felt like I could go insane as I was fighting with Finch, and all I could think about was if Hope was okay. I was losing control of my magic and ended up sending my girlfriend across the room. I couldn't be around Finch right now, she made it so easy to be more annoyed with her tonight. Everything seemed to be going wrong and I was confused with myself, especially when Hope was involved. I headed back towards Hopes room and found that she was gone. I didn't know where she went as I went to check the old mill but there was no sign of her there either. I tried not doing anything stupid and instead went to my dad's office just in case he knew where she went. Once there he tells me one place, he thinks she might be. And once he says it, we go to the car and make our way there. We had got to the cabin, and it looked like someone had been here. I noticed Hope's clothes she was wearing today and figured she must have changed. I start looking around the area to find the Tribrid. It took me a while but eventually I found what looked like Hope as I made my way towards the sitting figure. I saw what Hope was wearing and it made me blush just a little as the Tribrid could easily affect me like that.

(Hope's POV)

When I was going to bed, I got a notification on my phone saying like a birthday count down. I didn't even realize it was my birthday coming up and honestly, I'd just rather be alone since all that's been happening has just been going wrong. I woke up hearing my phone buzzing and it was Josie, but I left to get away from everyone, so I put my phone on silent and turned it off. After a little I woke up again and changed into a tank top and shorts checking my leg and rewrapping it once more then got my headphones and a water and went for a Jog to get some fresh air and to be in nature because I miss it a lot. Just the feeling of being free in the wild. As I was Jogging, I felt my leg start to tense up, so I stopped and sat down for a minute to let it rest to make sure I didn't accidentally overdo it. A few moments later I heard a voice in the distance call my name. I turned my head the voice sounding familiar and saw Josie walking towards me. "Josie? What are you doing here?" "I erm I came for you, I wanted to bring you home. If I remember correctly, it's someone's birthday soon." She replied. I got up and looked at Josie "You didn't have to worry about me or my birthday. I honestly didn't even remember it was coming up till a notification on my phone popped up." I know I was being guarded with Josie but even though I've known the twins for most of my life I've never had good people skills with anyone especially kids at the school because of my father and what I am. "of course I'm going to worry, there's barely a time where I'm not worried or not thinking about you." She quickly said then went slightly quiet and got a very little shy look on her face. She really cares about me. No one's ever honestly been this worried about me before. I have this weird feeling, but I Just can't place it or even describe it. "Well thanks for worrying, I guess. But I'm guessing I don't really have a choice on staying instead of going back, do I?" Josie smiled when she heard what I said as I was finally starting to get whatever she was trying to do. "I'm afraid your stuck with me Hope because you're not spending your birthday alone and I will be here to support you in any way" she said with a pep in her voice. "Mind helping me get back. My legs really sore and kind of hurting...."

(Josie's POV)

I was glad that I was finally able to convince the stubborn Hope Mikaelson to follow me as I get her to wrap her arm around me as I offer support in getting her back. "I could always carry you back?" I asked the Tribrid knowing I'd get a stubborn response "You don't have to this is fine." Hope seemed like she didn't want me to have to do more than necessary even though I truly don't mind cause I still feel bad because of how she got hurt. "Don't be silly come on I don't mind." I replied trying to encourage Hope to let me carry her and for some reason I wouldn't let it drop. There was something about the possibility of holding Hope in my arms that felt so right. "Ok fine" She replied to me with a giving into my determination tone. And I think she knew I wasn't going to let up till I got a yes. I ended up picking Hope up and started carrying her almost in bridal style towards the car. "I think you should listen to me more often." I said unusually boldly. Hope laughs a little "And why is that?" "You look cute when you do." I couldn't stop myself from saying that as a little blush is on my cheeks. I ended up not saying anything else after that. "We'll see about that." I think Hope was trying to annoy me because after she said that she had a sweet grin on her face and very slightly laughed. I finally felt I was getting somewhere with Hope despite the tension earlier, this was a nice moment, and I could only hope for more as I got her to the car and slowly laid her down in the back seat. My Dad was already waiting at the car and ready to go.

(Hope's POV)

After Josie laid me down in the back seat, I remembered my stuff was still in the cabin. "I still need to get my stuff." 'Don't worry I'll get it for you if you'd like." Josie replied as she was already heading back inside to start grabbing my things before, I could even tell her yes. I just waited in the car with Dr.Saltzman sitting in the front while Josie was getting my things. After she eventually got everything, she headed to the car and put the stuff in the trunk then she got in the front seat. "I made sure to get all your stuff Hope. I don't think I missed anything." "Thanks." I had never really seen this much of Josie before and for some reason it's intriguing.

(Josie's POV)

I couldn't stop checking the back to make sure Hope was ok. And somehow my Dad apparently picked up on it or noticed but he didn't mention anything even though I could tell he noticed. When we got back to the school I got out and opened the back seat door for Hope "Do you want me to carry you back?" "No. I can walk my legs feeling better after letting it rest." I let her do what she thought was best but part of me was disappointed that I couldn't do it. "I'll carry your stuff back to your room then for you." "Ok thanks Josie." She got out of the car and slowly started going back towards her room. What I didn't notice was that a certain werewolf and witch were watching this all happen and that could only mean more trouble for me. I didn't understand what they had to be jealous about, but I also didn't know that Hope noticed them as well.

(Hope's POV)

As I was walking, I caught a glimpse of Finch and Penelope glaring at me, but I just kept walking trying to shrug it off. When we got back to my room as Josie followed behind. I was curious what problem Finch and Penelope had with me. "Hey Josie. I'm going to run and do something really quick. Do you mind setting down my stuff?'" "Of course. If you need me let me know" she said beginning to unload the bags of my stuff and putting them away. I walked out of my room and towards Penelope and Finch "What is your two's problem with me? We don't even talk so I don't know what I could've done. Especially to make you throw me into a lake?"

Hey guys I finally got myself to type up this chapter! But A lot happened with me from the Sunday of this past Legacies episode airing week before Christmas week and then of course the news we got that legacies night hit hard with me and a few friends about Kaylee. But this week I'm trying to type up as many chapters as I can and Sorry kind of about the cliff hanger. Guess you'll have to wait and see how Penelope and Finch react to Hope's question.
