[Nich's POV]
December 31, 2021
I am standing right in front of Gil's grave after six months since he was gone but a lot of remarkable things had already happened. Secretary Rosas was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering Chief Justice Paz. The opposition won the presidency as the people gave their sympathy votes for Senator Ofelia Advincula who was the Chief Justice's running mate and took her position when she died.
"Everything are set on its place, buddy. Worry no more. The truth will always prevail no matter what happens. Good wins against evil all the time." I silently told Gil while staring at his gravestone. I then made the sign of the cross but a boy riding in a bicycle was moving towards me making me jump on the other side to avoid him. I crashed at the ground so I yelled at him out of pain and anger. He stopped. He looked at me for a long time.
"I'm sorry!" He then gave me a creepy smile and even though I was far from him, I noticed that his eyes were red. He left but that made me stunned because that was strange. I just bowed down and puts a hand in my forehead. When I removed it, the grave was nowhere. I stood up and looked around.
What is this???
I see a desert and a lot of men who are topless and only wears white pants; scourged as they pile up blocks of sand. I can see pyramids. I noticed the way they speak and it is so different from the languages I know. As I continued to observe everything, I looked at myself in a pail of water and my reflection speaks that I am dressed up like an Israelite - the race of the suffering people around me.
Am I in Ancient Egypt? My mind asked.
Then, I suddenly shouted out of pain in my back. I turned and saw a man who is different from the others. The people who were scourging the Israelites were bowing to him who rides on a chariot with his majestic robe and accessories made of gold.
"Ant la tahtarim malakaka!" He spoke in Arabic but I understood what he said. He meant that I have no respect for my king. Indeed, he is the Pharaoh but I noticed that...
His eyes were red!
I had nothing left to say except for "Jesus Christ!"
