Volume 1 Chapter 3: The Runaway's Initiation

Author's POV

It was another day in Beacon Academy, another normal day in Lunch. Except that it's never normal ever in this school. Instead of the usual chaos and people enjoying the small break before next class start, the cafeteria was filled with gossiping. Not too loud or too quiet gossiping but everyone seems to be talking about the same thing. Many people still don't know much about what they talking about, including teams RWBY and JNPR.

"Wonder what's everyone talking about." Ruby asked to her team.

"Well whatever it is, sounds like it's something big." Weiss said.

"Yeah... Blake, you have better hearing than us. Can you pick up on what they talking about?" Yang asked her partner.

"I'm trying but with everyone talking, it's kinda hard to." Blake replied.

"Ooh it could be anything! Could be a new class! Could even be new food. OOH, they could finally serve us pancakes!" Nora said with a wide smile.

"I don't think that's it." Ren said calming her down.

"Hey guys!" Someone Shouted.

Everyone turned around to see three students sitting at their table, three students that they are familiar. All three of them were first year students just like them, female as well. One of them was Rachel, she has pink hair and light pink eyes. She is the youngest out of her team, also the shortest and a great fighter thanks to her two teammates.

One of her teammates is Amelia, her hair was a Azure color and her eyes are dark blue. She and Rachel have these pilot goggles on them as the student know them by their flying and gliding skills. Rachel's other teammate is her girlfriend, Liz. Liz has Black hair and dark brown eyes. She's known to be the toughest person to beat out of her teammates as her fighting style was a bit different from theirs.

"Hello Rachel, Amelia, Liz. How's your day so far?" Pyrrha politely asked.

"It's been good, but definitely different." Amelia said.

"Yeah, do you guys know what everyone's talking about?" Jaune asked.

"We do, we heard it from Coco's team." Liz responded.

"Really? What's going on then?" Ruby asked, slightly excited to know what everyone's talking about.

"Apparently Cardin and his team are now expelled, they're not in Beacon Academy anymore." Liz answered.

Everyone was slightly shocked at the news they just heard. Cardin and his team are expelled from Beacon Academy. Everyone knew that they were going to get what's coming from them. It was relieve they felt but also a bit of pity.

"Huh, so that explains the commotion." Yang said.

"Yeah, Velvet was the first to know and the news spread." Rachel said.

"Spread how?" Weiss asked.

"Cardin and his group were picking on Velvet again but the Headmaster showed up. Velvet told us that she never seen him so angry as she and other students watch Ozpin expelled them." Amelia explained.

"Wow... I can't imagine Ozpin being angry." Jaune said.

"I'm just glad that Cardin and his team are gone." Blake stated.

"Agreed." Ruby and Pyrrha said.

"Awww, I thought it was going to be something exciting. I'm glad they're gone but mannn." Nora whined.

"It's okay Nora. By the way, how are you guys doing since there's only three of you on your team." Ren asked

"We are doing just fine. We all knew each other a couple of months before going to Beacon so we are able to get along just fine." Liz smiled as she holds Rachel's hand.
