trouble with the fae

*Adam POV.*

" Ugh I have been sitting in this damn chair for hours with this chick I need to stretch ,no scratch that I need food like now or I'm going to starve soon if I don't eat something."

"Adam you do know I can hear your thoughts right? with you being my protector and what not. actualy Don't even answer the question because it was rhetorical." I said aggervated. "ok well maybe I want you to hear them I am about to starve I am a fae you know I get angry easily. Could you stop somewhere please.?" Adam said almost whining. He looked at me almost pleading. " if it will shut your thoughts and stomach fine I'll stop at the next store so you can shut the hell up cause you are making me want to flip this car over with just you in it and that my friend is something you don't want to happen got it? " He just smiled at me all amused. "Well isn't someone a littly feisty" I just rolled my eyes and shifted in the drivers seat keeping my eyes forward so far we were in Virginia and the last time we ate and slept was about a day ago; and now I have a angry fae nagging me I was so gonna lose it soon. I just kept watching the scenery going by and basking in the new found silence that just had transpired soon enough we are going to be in north carolina. Although this thought was interrupted to soon when Adam started getting to exicited about the sheetz store that was a few miles down the road well that's what the suppose sign said. "Christina we have to go to sheetz I can all ready taste Doritos in my mouth!!!! Christina step on the gas we are out in back roads anyway come one please!!!!" This was ridiculous apparently having this faire was making him act like a spoiled brat. "OK I GOT IT JUST SHUT UP YOUR ACTING LIKE A BRAT!!" We were both shocked by my reaction that we didn't speak for quite a while. " ok but, -I want Doritos!!" He was like whispering or just talking in very low seductive voice. I was taking my eyes if the road to glare at him when I saw his eyes were glowing. "Holy hell adam your eyes are glowing...wait your a fae why are your eyes glowing?" I was so in a trance that I didnt hear the 18 Wheeler that was coming our way until it honked then I swerved. "shit Adam what was that?" The car was on the side of the highway and adam was breathing hard. He looked as if he wanted to say something but when he spoke it sound strained almost like a growl or a snarl. "Christina skip the gas station we are going past it there is a hotel 3 miles down the road. We are going to stop there and also.....DON'T. ASK. QUESTIONS." He was looking at me like if I was going to go against what he just said. I opened my mouth as if I were going to say something but I decided against it. " I am going to need for you to speed up love." I didn't have time to put my foot on the pedal when adam pulled me out from behind the wheel and into the passenger seat." What the hell adam have you become mad. Can't yo--" unless your next words are going to be something other than fussing at me for trying to make sure you are safe I would shut up." adam said with detemination in his eyes. I looked at him like he was the most stupidest or maybe the most bravest person in the world. "who does he think he is giving me orders like I was the one who needed them, I wasn't a damn dog who you could bark orders at. please I knew how to handle my own self perfectly fine. matter of fact if i wanted to i gould wipe his ass on this ground. yeah christina you could just tie him up and put duct tape on his mouth and stuff him in the trunk." i snorted at my inner monolouge which i found quite amusing. adam sped up without another word, we passed right by sheetz without a glance back. I was trying so hard to read his mind but he kept blocking me out, go figure right?. " would you stop trying to read my mind I am trying to drive and save your goddamn life." Now infuriated I responded because obviously I was going to be treated as a child until we got to that hotel. " I don't see any danger and I surely don't see that my life needs any saving now does it? Well guess what it doesn't because my ass is in my car in the passenger seat know would you like to explain why my ass is in the passenger side of MY car?!" He sighed and answered " well because I'm driving and because there was two demons at sheetz that are looking for you, although I am very angry because I really wanted some Doritos." adam said. "so does this mean your not going to tell me?" i glared at him with my arms crossed waiting for an answer. "not until i get you to the hotel and i make sure your safe." he said his voice holding no emotion. i tried to get a sense of his emotion but he was as emotionless as a rock. i grunted and sat back in my seat even though we had about two miles to go i could already tell this was going to be the longest drive of my life.
