trouble with the fae

chapter 3 - The Reunion

After my fight with Adam I managed to flash to california i don't know exactly how i got here but it felt as if i was being pulled here by something other than myself. I don't know exactly where in california i was but it must have been a music festival of some kind because you could hear it of in the distance and vendors lined the street. The air smelled like funnel cakes and laughter filled the air. How i would love to be normal for a few hours of maybe even a few months. yes christina because you know all you have to so is fill in a sheet at work requesting the days you want off, because they will totaly sign it and send you off your merry way.....wow I need to get a life if I am having arguments with myself.

    I walked into a alleyway where I checked to make sure no one followed me and then for extra precautions I made sure I was out of sight and i still put up a simple cloak around me for extra-extra protection. I shimmered into a boho chic type of look, I had on tank top that had a dreamcatcher on the from and some jean shorites that had tribal prints on the pockets. My hair was braid to the side and at the end was tied up with a string if leather with a feather attached to it, also I noticed I couldn't keep on my biker boots so I shimmered into some bikini white flats. All in all I wasn't to shabby. I walked out to the alleyway entrance and merged with the crowd with so much as a sideways glance.

   Must have been a few hours walking around buying thing from the vendors, some I knew my mom would adore and others because they could fit in my studio. I couldn't tell what time it was but the sun had set a not to long ago, I walked up to this lady sitting with a baby in her arms to ask her what time it was. "Excuse me ma'am? Would you happen to know what time it is?" She pulled out her phone and checked. " It's 9:30 pm sweetie." "Thank you". Well that was odd she didn't even look up from her baby to see who I was, must be a beautiful feeling being a mother. i thought. something you wont have.  hey what the hell man is their a place where i could get a new voice in my head because arent you a ball of warm fuzzies. " Christina!" i heard someone call my name but i knew it wasnt adam for this voice was different and i didnt know who he was. i turned aroung to see a guy walking towards me. He was a handsome man standing at least 6'2 and he had jet black hair that stood out against his lightly tanned skin , and lightly colored brown  eyes that had a mischievous twinkle in them. Also he was very muscular and the shirt he was wearing did well in showing that. i guess he noticed me staring because he cleared his throat, i looked up to his face try to see if i knew him from anywhere but sadly i didnt know who he was. "christina i have been looking for you like crazy i was going crazy not beeing able to find you. where have you been all this time? why have you been avoiding me? is it adam , is he my new competition now?" he bombarded me with question but  didnt know who he was i didnt recognize him for i guess he saw this in my eyes and the look he gave me looked that expressed that said that he was sad that i didn't know who he was. " You do know who i am? you don't remenber who i am,  or....or are you choosing not to remenber who i am is that it ?"  " i am sorry uhh what your name?" i asked cautiosly. "great you don't even remenber what my name is? yeah isn't that awesome? christina why do you not remenber me?" he said exasperated. " im sorry um.." "lucas my name is lucas miloklos." he grabbed my hand and kissed it.  oh my he is like a that peice of chocolate cake that you know you shouldn't eat because you know its not to healthy for you but you still eat it anyway. yeab he is that good. get it together christina what are you a crazed teenage girl with uncontrollable hormones?" i thought. "yeah well like i was saying mr.lucas i dont know exactly who you are? but if you would excuse me i have to go, my family is waiting for me so goodbye mr.lucas." i extended my hand and he took it giving me a firm handshake. " Its been really good to see you again christina, even if you don't remenber me." he let go of my hand and walked away from the direction he had just come and blended in with the rest of the crowd, while i just keeping looking into the direction he just left. I turned around and started walking looking for an alleyway that I could use to safely return home to. After 4 alleyways later because the where in "use", I checked before entering the alleyway when all the hair on my neck stood like a prey about to be eaten by their predator. Again I looked both ways see in that I was in no danger I walked to the very end if the alley which than the gods wasn't long for it was a dead end. I turned around just long enough for someone to push me firmly against the wall. "You didn't think you would get of that easily did you Christina?" He said. "Who are you? Show your face!" I demanded. He moved his head slightly to left where the was a dim light that shone down into the alley. "Lucas?!? What are you doing! Let me go!" I tried to get out of his hold but it seemed the more I moved the tighter his grip got. " why are you running sweetheart, it been a real long time since I've seen you." He  said all the while getting closer to my face."I'm not running." I said almost breathlessly. "Oh one could beg the differ sweetheart. You know seeing wasn't just enough." He said teasingly, leaning so close to my lips that it was only separated by a silver of air. "You seriously thought I was going to kiss you that fast without the fun beforehand?" Instead of kissing me, he leaned into my neck and kissed right behind my left ear. He withdrew his lips slow enough, for me to go crazy. I was pretty sure he could sense that to, because he started moving down my jaw line to mouth. He kissed me and smiled against my lips enjoying the lovely torture he was doing. Then that when I felt the warm fuzzy sensation in my mind, that I knew it was Adam. "I'm coming for you love just hold on for me ? Please." And just like that he was a few feet away from me and lucas.  Lucas froze for I think he knew who was behind him. " well,well so you denied me earlier but here you are with this freak. Did you forget what happened in between us this morning, how you were with me." Adam said all to proudly, I wanted to kill him right now. This was not the time to strut around like a proud peacock. "I heard that love remember being in your mind and what not." He said into mind. "Damn, you and your protector connection with my mind." I exclaimed. "Oh,love you know you love this voice. He said all to huskily. "Lucas, well how wonderful for you being here." Adam said with fake excitement. "Now if you could excuse me I have to take my fiancé with me back home. We had a little argument but its all resolved now. " I could feel the anger that radiated in tidal waves of lucas."Your fiancé? You guys are getting married?" Lucas asked. "Yes and we even started our honeymoon a litte early this morning. Didn't we christina?" He gave me his trademark half-smile. "Matter of fact Adam we didn't you used your fae magic against me! Me Adam! Who the hell do you think you are?"  I said with such fury. " He did what to you. The faire freak did what?" Lucas asked with anger." Don't worry lucas everything fine matter of fact she was kidding she willingly made-out with me and it was heavenly." Lucas had heard enough and he charged towards Adam, who conveniently flashed out of the way. "Where are you Fae!?!?" Lucas growled. "Right here actually." Startled I looked to my right to see Adam standing there. "You see lucas everytime you think your one ahead I'm already on 3rd base, if you know what I mean." He turn and looked at me knowing that lucas was watching he leaned in and kissed me, and then turn to look at lucas "now if you excuse us we need to go, so toodles." Adam waved at lucas while pulling me by my waist towards him. "Also if you could stay away I wouldn't want to hurt you. "I'm not the one you should worry about now that I see I have a fresh start I will do whatever it takes to see her again." Lucas said. "Highly doubtful, I will protect her from you till my last dying breath and until the last drop of blood is gone from my body. I can promise you that." With that being said he tightened his hold and flashed us. I just hoped wherever it was it was safe because with Lucas's warning I wasn't feeling peaceful if anything I was feeling like I should remember him. Also I needed to know why Adam knew him, did Adam know something I didn't ? And if so I needed to find out.
