Dreams POV:
I gave nightmare a big hug, before waving goodbye and running off to play with the villagers- I always felt so bad for leaving him out but, he never really wanted to play with me.... It's fine! Well- at least I had the villagers to keep me company!

After a few hours of playing, I decided to go back to nightmare. The sun was setting and it was getting dark, I didn't want him to worry about me. I waved goodbye to the villagers and ran off.

As I was walking back to the tree I wondered if I should ask nightmare if he wanted to go to the river for a bit, but I would have to get back to him first- of course though I hope he would be fine with going, he always goes with me! We always take our shoes off and enjoy the river, he always splashed me then we get into a water fight! He always wins though...

Nightmares POV:
"It's getting dark... I'm not sure when dreams going to get back.." I mumbled to myself.. but, then I heard something crack.. like a stick, I ignored it at first.. thinking it was just a wild animal, but I was wrong, greatly wrong. As I was reading, a group of villagers approached me, one had a bat, the others just stood arms crossed. There only seemed to be three... but still.. more than just me to handle.

"Heya nightmare~ I see your readin a book eh?" The villager with the bat asked. I shook, and stuttered out a few words "please go away.. it's getting late.."
"Awww is little nighty getting scaaared?" The villager woman in the back asked.

"Please.. dream will be returning soon and.."
"And what? Hmm?" The villager teased. "Please... just-" I was cut off by one of the villagers snatching my book, i stood up, trying to get it back but ended up stumbling back.

They just laughed.. "awww trying to get your book back? How cute."

They ended up tormenting me for what felt like hours.. they finally left, but also left me with bruises.. how am I suppose to explain this to dream? I reached for my book, it was torn, papers crumpled and torn, the cover was covered in mud and dirt. I dusted it off and sat there, rubbing my head, it was throbbing in pain...
