Sarah and Jade's relentless laughter furthered my desire to dig a hole outside, curl into a ball, and die in it. Their snickers were the soundtrack to my life and I took my punishment while manning the counter at Don't Judge a Book.
"Wait," Jade sucked in a breath, "So he-"
Cue more laughter.
I sighed and Sarah continued their line of questioning, "he got you then?"
"Well, I wouldn't say he got me, exactly," I rubbed the back of my neck and forced down the surfacing memories of his face between my thighs.
"What would you call it then," Jade wiped tears from her eyes. "Hm?"
"He surprised me, that's all."
Sarah placed her hand on my shoulder, "Honey, don't lie to yourself. It'll give you premature wrinkles." I frowned.
Once I arrived at work, disheveled and fuming, they pried the story out of me.
I cleared my throat, "It wasn't my finest moment."
"Right," Jade disguised another chuckle as a cough, "Well, you know what this means."
I glanced around the room and tried not to stare at the dozen customers wandering through the aisles; they hated when we made eye-contact.
Before I could regain my train of thought, Sarah leaned in and whispered "War" into my ear.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard us, this is a full-blown sex war now."
Excuse me? "No, no," I waved my hands, "this has already gone too far."
"Or has it not gone far enough?"
My eyes widened, "Are you delusional, both of you?"
"Don't be so dramatic," Jade rolled her eyes, "You have the perfect opportunity to finish this,"
"Have you been paying attention? I couldn't make it three minutes before melting into his arms."
Sarah waved her hand, "Did you use the stuff we gave you?"
"The dildos?" I laughed, "No, I was trying to seduce him, not scare him."
Jade frowned, "Well, that's your problem right there. He should be so horny by the time that you're done that he is scared."
"Yeah, you should've seen James on our wedding night." Sarah cackled.
James and Sarah had been married for almost two years before I started working with them. Through the many stories of their wedding, I almost began to feel sorry that I missed all the chaos.
Even Kitty, our ever-absent event manager, had her own version of events, one in which she got fucked five ways to Sunday.
I nodded at the thought of James, the ever-devoted husband of religious origin who seemed like the type to slip into a post-kink coma.
The religious guilt will really eat at you.
"So," Jade continued, "He took your, I'll admit, pointed attack and decided to start a war. You have all the tools. Fight back."
