"General Hart! Bring these troops to the border along the river."

"Yes sir!" I was commanding on the North border of my court. I was busy with things to do, things to plan, but my days still felt boring and lifeless without Viviane. Viviane. I rolled her name over my tongue, the melodic sweetness lasting in my mouth. Even if I didn't know her that well, I still missed her. I could feel her every breath, every heartbeat echo through the bond. I thought of her fiance. I would rip him apart, his nonexistent love for his perfect, beautiful, deep fiance. My mate. I repeated that to myself every day, it seemed. That this absolutely perfect woman was my mate. Who didn't want me. I broke my mind from those thoughts. I was supposed to be boarding a carriage to back to Thatvein. To my home. To my mate.
