I wake up in a cold sweat from my nightmare. I can't exactly remember what was in it but I know it had something to do with my past. I know compared to some my past wasn't that bad but I can't help but feel like I'm in danger 24/7. Just waiting for them to come back and pounce.

It may seem silly but it wasn't that bad what happened to me right? It can't be. If it was I'm way too broken.

I pull my mind from that direction and start thinking happy thoughts so I don't go down that dark path. I should be over it by now but I'm not. A lot of bad things happened back then. I jump out of bed and run to the bathroom in hopes of cold water on my face washing the thoughts away.

After I brush my teeth and change I head downstairs to the kitchen to get breakfast. Which unsurprisingly there's nothing to eat. I groan and just go sit on the couch. I start to doze off when I hear knocks on the door. I groan and get up walking to the door. I open it and see Achilles standing there awkwardly.

He looks good today in blue jeans, a white tee, boots, and his black leather jacket. I stare unknowingly and look back up from scanning his body to meet his beautiful blue eyes. He's standing there smirking at me. I want to punch him. Not hard enough to hurt him. Just hard enough to wipe that irritating smirk (that I'm starting to love) off his face.

I stand there wide eyed when he coughs making me snap out of it.
"You know doll, if you take a picture it lasts longer."
He says with a small smile on his face. That surprised me but I took out my phone and snapped a quick picture anyways. The look an his face was priceless.

He looked dumbfounded. After he snapped out of it I started giggling and I ran inside forgetting to close the door. He chases after me to try and get me to delete the picture but I refuse.
"Doll you better get rid of that before or I catch you!"

He loudly says. I wonder why he isn't yelling at me? Most people do. I'm so lost in thought I run into a wall. An actual wall. Not Achilles. Pain shoots up my nose and I hear Achilles rush to me to make sure I'm ok. My eyes stay to water and he starts playing doctor on me.
"Doll! Are you ok? Oh my god! Do you know how bad this could be? Let me grab ice real quick."
He starts hurrying around the house like a bee which is honestly really funny so I start giggling which only makes my nose hurt more. Ow. I start to cry a little bit from the pain by the time Achilles gets back and he starts panicking even more. His eyes pop out and starts shooting questions at me.

"Oh my god Doll! Does it hurt that bad? I'm so sorry. Here have some ice and pain killers."
He says concerned.
I grad it from his hand sniffling and he comes over and sits behind me and pulls me back to lean on his chest. He brought me water too.

How thoughtful. I chug the water and pain killers along with putting the ice on my nose. I start sniffling and crying and just cuddle up to his chest whimpering. He hesitates before wrapping his arms around me.

Once the pain starts to subside I say,
"Tha-a-ank y-o-ou."
I don't really talk much do to my stutter but that's ok. He can talk for me.
He looks at me and just nods with a small smile while playing with my hair. I wish I knew how it felt to be loved unconditionally. Wow. I don't even know where that thought came from. He starts rambling on about motorcycles and cars because I asked what his job was and now his voice is pulling me to sleep along with him stroking my hair, and before I know it I'm out cold.
