This is book 2 of The Ring series: many of the notes/warnings etc. are the same as those for Song of my Heart. Even though this is not a continuation of Aria's story, please note that a lot of elements of the overarching story are explained far more fully in the first book, so I'd suggest reading that one first!
So, if you need a recap of my notes from book 1:
1. Maturity Warning: Language and sexual content make this one inappropriate for younger readers. I won't put TW's up, just consider this a blanket one!
2. I am always happy to see comments with constructive feedback, please contribute (kindly)! Just note, that I'm an Aussie, and am using Australian English, so spelling may be different to what you're used to.
3. The rules of this universe are fairly standard werewolf fair, with a few notes:
- My characters don't have separate wolves with their own voices or personalities
- Werewolves can get sick and don't have super-fast healing, it's just faster than humans and injuries don't affect them as much as humans. They do scar, doesn't have to be from silver.
- They shift with their clothes on. Since they're mythical creatures, in my universe they have a sort of innate magic that stops them from flashing everyone. I tend to just not mention clothing when the characters shift, so you can mostly ignore it.
- Finally, in this world, heat starts for females usually about three months after they meet their mate (rejection makes no difference to this) and continues twice a year from then on. They can only get pregnant during their heat. Heat is for procreation, not to force mating to happen like in some stories. Marking and pregnancy doesn't have to be with their true mate, though.
