Apparently, Gos had miscalculated. By a lot.

He thought he could have informed Lysth about his plan in three minutes. But the spirit kept asking a bunch of unnecessary questions. That caused those three minutes to turn into three hours. Which ended up turning into three days.

"Is this really your plan?" Lysth, his personal critic, replied, after Gos finally finished explaining.

"Yes, it is. If you have a problem with it, you can leave happily.

It let out a little laugh. "Yes, I do have a problem with it. It looks like a ten-year-old came up with the plan. But what can I say? Even if I wanted to change it, I can't."

"Really? Seems to me like you're fully capable of being able to 'improve' my plan or whatever," he grumbled, making air quotes around the word improve.

"Don't be silly Gos. If you haven't forgotten, you're still my master. I have no choice but to do as you say."

Gos didn't believe it. (Maybe because of his first experience with Lysth. But that was just a wild guess.) "Yeah. Sure. Whatever."

It floated towards him. "I was just saying. All of this is okay, but it could be better. For starters, you could've made a replica of the key and used that. It would save us a lot of time."

"Well, I'm not going to over-complicate anything. Whatever I told you is going to happen, exactly the way it's written, and exactly the way I explained it to you. If that's not possible for you to follow, then you can leave."

Lysth studied him, long enough for Gos to question if the spirit was planning on turning him into a flamingo. Finally, with a small smile escaping its mouth. " Whatever you say... master."

"That's what I thought," Gos muttered.

He turned to look at the clock in his room. It was about one in the afternoon, when he had finally explained everything to his spirit servant. The only reason he was able to talk to Lysth out loud, and so freely was because the fourth floor was always empty. Either because everyone was always working, they tried to avoid coming here whenever possible, or both.

If he wasn't wrong, Serca would've been on lunch break, on the second floor. Assuming he wasn't wrong, she would be waiting for the chefs and waiters to prepare her food.

Of course, he wasn't wrong. He'd been studying the entire castle and everyone's shifts for the past few months. Everyone's shifts changed every four months, which wouldn't be a problem, as the entire schedule would change next month. But for now, he was an expert on this, and even memorized the entire schedule by heart.

"Well," Lysth broke the silence, bringing Gos back to Earth. "Are you sure you want to start now, Gos? If you do, then your work will be finished quickly, and you won't need me anymore, which means..." it shook its head, "I won't be able to help you anymore."

"Wow, what a shame," Gos sarcastically said. "I won't be getting any more help from you. I'm really sad, considering the fact that your services have been horrible."

It glared at him, it's red eyes glowing dangerously. As if that wasn't enough, the glowing outline around it also turned into a dangerous shade of red. "If I were you, I would watch my tongue. We wouldn't want any... accidents, do we?"

It said the word accidents as one might say getting turned into a strange creature and ruining someone's life.

Gos opened his mouth to retort, then swallowed back whatever he was planning to say. If there was anything he'd learned in the past few days of being Lysth's master, it was that anything glowing red that around or on the spirit was bad news. (What gave it away? The part where the eye and glowing outline was red, and not any other color.)

"Well, if we're planning on getting started on your plan, then we should get going. From what I heard, it's Serca's lunch time, isn't it?" Lysth offered.

"Yes," Gos replied. "That's where it all starts."

Gos and Lysth stood on the edge of the fourth floor.

They were standing near the set of stairs. Both of them needed to go down, but went different ways. They were planning on going the same way, but end up in different places. One of them would go to the "important people rooms", as Gos called it. The one going down had all the kitchens, cafes, and all food related places.

Lysth let out a thin smile. "So this is where the plan starts."

"Yes," Gos replied, having a genuine smile for the first time. "It's time to get revenge on someone who deserved it a long time ago."
