One thing I strongly feel about horse training is you have to interest your horse with a fun activity. Some times, instead of training, I play a liberty game, or go for a walk in the bush on foot with him. Most of the time I have no halter on him, we just walk and we communicate in horse and also human. Once I sat on a round bale when we were on a walk and most of the time he just rested his head on my lap while most horses would stuff their faces with hay. It was a pleasant surprise because his a pig most of the time. Don't worry he is a happy and healthy horse.
My favourite thing to do is after a training session, sit under a tree and talk to him, then run around the paddock. he chases me around. He trots and canters after me and if I climb a tree, he stares up at me waiting for me to come down, frantically whinnying to me. Once he reared up!
