Kiera's POV: (lunch room)

As I see Mateo walk in I smirk Lia was sitting with me and said "what are you smiling at" "nothing" "I know that look Kiera DO YOU LIKE SOMEONE" Lia screamed "Lia be quiet" I said "wait so you do" she squealed "ok maybe I do I don't know" I replied "wait you have never had a crush before this is so exciting" I said maybe chill out damn it Lia now she has me excited to "LIA STOP" I yell she jumps a little  and stops "first of all I said maybe and second he's really cute but I don't know if I like him yet ok Lia" she signed and said "ok but I'm still gonna help" I said "fine" knowing she was gonna do this I look back and to my disappointment he's laughing with practically the whole lunch room at his table. I could feel my face heat up was I JEALOUS nope there's no way I'm jealous Maybe just a little.... Ok I might be jealous Lia looks at me and grabs my arm "are you ok I think your heating up" i saw Mateo look at me with a worried face what's wrong with him? I started feeling dizzy and said "Lia can you take me to the nurse i don't feel well" I don't think it was the fact he was with a bunch of people I think the lunch food was bad cause it tasted worst than it usually did. But of course Lia came to the rescue and said

"yea let's hurry i think your gonna be sick I don't feel well either" "ok" I responded I walked over to one of the lunch lady's and say "me and Lia don't feel well can we go to the nurse please" "yea let me write you a pass honey" she replied I waited as she wrote out the pass and I could  feel Mateo's eyes on me the whole time which made me feel worst. She finished writing out the pass and I took it and said "thank you" me and Lia sprinted to the nurses office cause we both felt like we were gonna throw up. As we finally got there the nurse said "what can I do for you pumpkins to.....

I cut her off by grabbing the trash can as fast as I could and started puking "yea I'm calling your mom" the nurse said. right after I was done Lia started puking the nurse ended up calling both of our moms and we went home when I got in the car my mom said "oh baby what happened are you ok?" "I felt sick after lunch and ran to the nurses office I started puking when I got there I think it was the food" she looked worried and her jaw dropped to the floor when I said the puking part "ok we're gonna go home and hope you feel better tomorrow ok sweetheart" "ok mom" I respond we get home I go up to my room and get dressed in a tank top and some sweat pants and jump in to my bed. My mom comes up to my room with some pills and water "here take these they will help you feel better" I know they will so I take them "when you wake up I'll make you some soup" mom says "ok thank you mom" I say laying back down I look back at my phone and I see yet again another text from the random number "how old are you" I respond "wrong number again" I put some soft music on and fell asleep.

Mateo's POV: (still at lunch)

Why did she leave? Should I go after her? I was about to get up and go after her when Dante stops me "Mateo where are you going" I didn't wanna seem weird so I said "oh nowhere" really Dante you had to do that.

Lunch is almost over when I get a text from the random number I came across yesterday

"Wrong number again"

                                 I respond "no it's not the wrong number this time really tho how old are you"
"Ring ring" god I hate that bell

Three hours later (after school)
Mateo's POV:

When I got home I wasn't that tired so I took a shower after I put clean boxers on and some shorts and laid down I look down at my phone "ok fine I'm 16 how about you" the random number responded "same what school?" I wanted to know who this person was and what if they were at my school. I didn't check if they responded cause I fell asleep a little while after that

Next morning

I woke up to my alarm and groan. why does it have to be so loud and in that moment I knew I had school i didn't feel like going at all but of course school i had to. As I got up I put some baggy jeans on with a tank top and put a hoodie over than put my socks on and shoes I brushed my hair and my teeth and went in the kitchen "morning dad where's mom" "morning and she left for work really early this morning so don't bother her later cause you know how she gets" I chuckle "yea I know"

At school:

I walk into first period and see Kiera sitting down already I sit down and start talking to my friends trying not to look at her. As we're laughing I see her come up to me I didn't wanna be a little bitch in front of my friends so I say "what do you want" she looks at me with the most disgusted look and says "I just thought you could use some help with the work but I guess not" and I hear her mumble "what the hell" I felt bad instantly but all my friends 
just thought it was funny and laughed. As I was trying to figure out how to do my work Dante says "I thought you liked her" I say "nah she's really not that pretty anyway"  she definitely heard and looked at me again with that look. "Yea I think your right" Dante looked at Kiera and chuckled Kiera said under her breath "asshole" and she did it loud enough for me to hear it I think that was on purpose tho....... "Ring ring" OH SHIT did I fall asleep I rushed out of the class room and ran to my next one.

At lunch
Kiera's POV:

My blood was still boiling thinking about what happened in first period I didn't want to think or talk about it. At lunch I got my food and I didn't want to eat it cause of what happened yesterday Lia sat next to me " are you ok you seem off again" " no I'm not ok Lia"  "do you wanna talk about it" "look I'm sorry I've been so mad lately but I really don't want to talk about what happened maybe I can call you after school if I feel better but right now I don't think its a good time" she nodded and went to get her food. Now when I looked at Mateo I didn't see this cute little giant I see a mean dark figure almost like a Spirit. I didn't want to waste any more time with Mateo he obviously didn't like me so I didn't like him. I still look at him but he's always talking to his friends or doing his work but weirdly he seems to have a really hard Time with math (first period) I always can tell he needs help but he never wants it when I ask.

After lunch Kiera's POV:

I check my phone and u see that anonymous texted back
"Same what school"
Why can't Mateo be more like anonymous. And also this random person will not get my school that easily he's gonna have to work for it
"Your not getting off that easy tell me your school first" I answer as Lia comes up to me "hey" "hey Kiera" "so I know you said that you don't want to talk about it but are you really gonna call me after school" yea I never was but she's my best friend she already knows that "yea no i never was planning on it anyways" she says " I knew it" and we both said "bye" as we headed to our classes.
