{boy crying}
"Yuta?"
A little girl called his name.
"yeah?" He sniffled.
"why are you crying?"
"Everyone calls me scary."
"I don't think you are."
"you don't?"
"Nope! let's go play in the playground!"
"But all my friends left me..."
"Then be my friend Yuta!"
"F-friends with...me?" He stuttered.
The little girl reached her hand out to him
"promise you won't leave me?" she asked.
"I promise! I'll never leave you..."
"...Yuri"
Wednesday 10:45am
I sat on my bed, my eyes were glued to the ground. I couldn't help but feel pity. I didn't know anything about myself, where my parents went, where I lived. All I could remember was that one day I woke up In this house, alone. Every Morning and every night, breakfast and dinner would be delivered through a little slit on my front door (Which was always locked) in a small box. I didn't know who or what was delivering them to me. All I knew was that I was the only person in this house. I used to spend my time reading books that I could find on the bookshelves in my room.
One day, I tried reaching for a book that was out of my reach but I ended up falling and hitting the bookshelf with my head. Luckily, the book that was out of reach had fallen out of it's spot too. As I opened it a piece of paper fell onto my lap, I picked it up and turned it over revealing a drawing of a girl with long black hair smiling. In the corner of the paper was a messily written note with the words 'Love, Yuri' on it. The thought of my past best friend finally sprung into my mind after years and years of forgetting her. She was the antidote to the poison of my isolated feelings. The only good memories I had left were of her.
"One day I will find you and we can be friends again, forever this time...Yuri."
Ever since that day I swore to myself that I would love, protect and become friends with Yuri again. When I turned 16 my front door had unlocked and in front of It there was a box which contained a card with a large sum of money in it, an ID and house keys. A year had passed. I had taken advantage of my freedom and completely forgot about my promise to Yuri. That was until today.

"Thank you for coming, Enjoy your coffee!"
I sat in the back corner of the coffee shop In town. A lady -around 20 years old- with blonde hair and green eyes appeared behind the counter with a cheery expression on her face.
"Yuri dear, thank you so much for covering my shift. I'll take you shopping after as a token of my gratitude." The woman smiled at Yuri.
Oh you really don't have too" Yoru frantically waved her hands in front of her face.
"Oh don't be so modest, let me get one of the guys to take over your shift right now and we can go get something to eat, my treat." She said and walked back into the cafe staff room.
She soon came back out dressed in a polka dot blouse, denim shorts and knee high designer boots. Yuri took off her apron, she wore a plain white shirt that was tucked into some wide leg jeans. She let her hair down which made my heart skip a beat as to how much she resembled the girl from my past. The Blonde lady linked arms with Yuri and they both left the cafe giggling. I stood up from my seat and proceeded to follow them closely.
"Excuse me! Do you think this dark shade of red makes my butt look big." The blonde lady spoke pouting her lips. They had stopped at a makeup store for a short while. In the background Yuri was scanning through the different lip tints until she stopped at the 'Cherry Blossom Pink.' Her eyes lit up as she grabbed it and came over to us. I tensed up slightly hoping she wouldn't notice me.
"Hey mister I'm talking to you!" The blonde woman scowled. I must've been distracted.
"c'mon stop bothering the stranger. Let's go grab something to eat i'm hungry!" Yuri grabbed the woman's arm and lead her out of the store turning around to me and mouthing "Sorry" before she left.

"mmmm~ This pork belly ramen smells so good!"The blonde lady exclaimed. cupping her face in delight.
"It does, let me head to the restroom super quick. Don't eat without me!" Yuri added as she left her seat.
She turned a corner and walked into the restaurant bathrooms. Blondie made sure Yuri was gone and slowly grabbed a small transparent seal that contained what looked like a pill inside. She leaned over the table and purposely let the pill fall into the drink next to Yuri's food.
"I'n back!" Yuri called out as she made her way back to the table.
"Yuri, the waiter passed by while you were gone and gave us free drinks! He said they were on the house." That woman was a liar, I gritted my teeth.
Yuri took the cup into her hand and I watched as it inched closer and closer to her mouth...
