Chapter 26

SOFIA RAMOS' POV

SIX MONTHS LATER

"He has just been acting strange, mama." I tell my mother over the phone.

"He probably stressed, Sofia.: My mama says.

"Yeah, maybe." I mumble unsure.

"I've been feeling sick for the past few days." I say changing the subject.

"I knew you were pregnant." She exclaims.

"Mama."

"My only daughter is finally pregnant." She says happily.

"Mama, I'm not pregnant." I deny.

"Did you take a test?" She asks.

"No but...." I begin to say.

"Well until you do, I'm going to assume you're pregnant." Mama states.

"Now go to the store and get a test, call me when you get it." She orders.

Leaving no room for arguing, mama hands up the call. I knew I could be pregnant when I vomited three times in one hour. I also missed my period but I guess I was in denial. I know Vincenzo wants children but I was still afraid of the possibility of me being pregnant. Especially when Vincenzo has been acting strange lately. I push all the negative thoughts I was having to the back of my mind and decided that I was going to take a pregnancy test today.

ONE HOUR AND A HALF HOURS LATER

I came back from the store with the tests a while ago but I was waiting for Gabrielle to come over. I couldn't take them by myself, Vincenzo said he was coming back late tonight.

A few minutes later Gabrielle arrived confused because she didn't know why I was so urgent about her coming over immediately.

"I think I'm pregnant." I blurt out as we walk into my bathroom.

"What." She gasped.

"I haven't taken a test yet, I need someone to take it with." I explain.

"Well let's go get them." She says.

"I already brought them." I tell her.

"I'll wait outside for you." Gabrielle says.

"Don't tell anyone." I say.

"I won't." She agrees confused.

VINCENZO MORETTI'S POV

"Do you think she'll say yes."

"Vince, shut up." Valentino says running his hand down his face.

I've asked this question about ten times today to Valentino and Lorenzo, I was only scared that she'll say no.

"At least I have someone." I say to Val.

"Diego needs his time to overthink." He says.

"Bro, you asked him to move in with you and then he ghosted you." Lorenzo says laughing.

"And you secretly dated my sister for months so don't talk about my boyfriend." Val objected.

"And you loved a woman before you even spoke to her." He says pointing at me.

"Fuck you." I mumbled.

"Gabrielle says she's with Sofia now." Lorenzo says showing me the chat between him and my sister.
