WEIRD COMBINATION

"Tsk...that shorty senpai..."

Tsukishima grumbled, gnawing on the chocolate Yashiro had given him earlier. Something has been bothering him recently, just as it did when he first met the third year.

It's been two months since he first met Yashiro. He was continuously bumping into him, and he assumed the shorty did it on purpose, but weirdly enough it didn't annoyed him.

Yashiro would give him gifts on numerous times, primarily his favorite foods and various types of dishes Yashiro makes at either the culinary club or at home, though one time Yashiro brought him a hand knitted dinosaur, which embarrassed him; he thanked and insulted Yashiro at the same time.

Without a doubt, Yashiro persuaded Yamaguchi to say that he loves dinosaurs.

There's also a time wherein he felt annoyed whenever some students would gather close to Yashiro, with an obvious blush on their cheeks. It's not like he's jealous, he just thought it an eyesore.

Finally, he noticed a shift in Yashiro's attitude toward him whenever they crossed paths. And there was never a time when Yashiro would hug him out of nowhere, just to have Yamaguchi smirk at them from the sidelines.

A strange feeling arose in his chest, when Yashiro focused his gaze on him. When he was around Yashiro, his heart would skip a beat, giving him a weird feeling in his stomach that didn't bother him and instead felt nice.

It's like something strange pulling Tsukishima closer to Yashiro.

"Oh shit, i'm in love with that shorty..."

Tsukishima muttered to himself as the realization dawned on him, his golden brown eyes widening and his cheeks flushing. His free hand covered half of his face, his spectacles slightly slack in his nose bridge, and his palms held the small pastle green bag of homemade chocolate.

"S-so you're going to confess to him tsukki?"

Yamaguchi asked, overhearing Tsukishima's words as soon as he arrived at the school's benches from buying drinks from the vending machine. He's relieved that his friend has finally realized his feelings for Yashiro. He watched as Tsukishima abruptly stood up and looked at him, which caught him off guard.

"Of course, I'm not gonna let that shorty run around."

"T-tsukki...Yashiro-senpai i-isn't a kid or a dog you know?"

"Are you listening to me Yashiro-senpai?"

Yashiro Kou was pulled out from his own world as he whipped his head to look at the second year with his hair swaying along. "Hm? Ah! Y-yes...?" He sweat dropped once seeing Nero just rose a brow at him.

Kou was occupied by thinking about something or rather...ehem, someone that forgot they were discussing the upcoming events this month.

"You seems troubled about something Kou-chan...mind telling us?" Rui asked as the three of them soon came to halt just as near the stairs. Hearing his friends' words, Kou begins to think whether he should tell them before sighing.

"I love Tsukishima."

Kou admitted shyly, covering his face with both hands and peering at the two who had gone silent and simply blankly stared at him as if they already knew. "Err...guys...?" He said awkwardly, watching how they didn't move an inch before Nero reacted first.

"We know..."

Nero shrugged, and Rui agreed with a nod. "Not really surprised about it Kou-chan. You've been talking about that kid almost everyday." Rui casually remarked, recalling occasions when they were with Kou and the only thing he talked about was Tsukishima or work.

They swear they saw some hearts appear behind him as he talked about his first year.

"So why don't you confess to him senpai?"

"Eh...? Ehhhhhhhhh..."

After hearing the second year's words, Kou drawled loudly before slumping to the floor, catching the two off guard. "I want to... but what if he doesn't love me back...?" He grimaced, despite his best attempts, Tsukishima doesn't seem to like him and is usually annoyed when he appears out of nowhere.

His chances are not good.

Just as he met someone, but it's the end for him, Tsukishima would humiliate him and possibly laugh at him when he confessed.

"Hah! I never thought the shorty-senpai actually have feelings for me! Pfft⏤!"

'What a life...'

He thought this as Nero and Rui crouched down on his lying frame on the floor, terrified that his spirit was about to ascend to heaven. "S-senpai had a bit of hope, what if Tsukishima likes you as well?" Nero tries to console the glum student president.

"K-kou-chan, don't die just yet! If you're gone, who's going to give me free snacks?!!" Rui wailed, his cries growing louder as he shook Yashiro, while Nero peered around, concerned that someone may witness this scene.

If someone did, he just wanted to say he don't know them.

He. Don't. Know. Them.

"Oi! Yashiro-senpai!"

A quick call broke out in the hall, followed by a set of footsteps coming towards them, and the three promptly rose up, as if nothing had happened only a few seconds before.

"Oh wh⏤"

Yashiro softly smiled when he heard the familiar voice and was going to turn around, only to be pushed against the wall by someone taller than him, taking him by surprise, along with Nero and Rui, whose eyes practically fell out of their sockets.

"Oi squirt, meet me at the back of the school after the class ends."

Tsukishima sneered as he looked down on Kou. His hands are placed on either side of Kou's head, trapping the immovable third year who finally looks up at him. "Did you hear what I just said, senpai?" Tsukishima murmured, maintaining his cool demeanor despite the flush that was beginning to appear in his cheeks.

"Y-yes, I'll wait."

Kou reacted almost shyly, keeping his calm demeanor while feeling thrilled and nervous at the same time. "You better be, see you later, Yashiro-senpai," Tsukishima said as he leaned away, a grin on his lips, visibly satisfied as he turned around and departed the scene.

A silence came over them as Kou slid down the wall, his face flushed, before Rui screamed in delight.

"What was that?"

"I'm jealous...let's go out Nero-chan."

"No."

"Awww..."
